Well whoever told you that is spitting some bullshit. http://www.google.com/
I know this is just gonna validate you and I don't particularly care, I think it's worth saying anyway. People talk so much about being offended as an unjustified thing, I think it's actually pretty reasonable to be offended sometimes. Sure, being an antisocial creep with a stunted understanding of people is very cool, it gives off that "I don't care about anything" vibe that you find in Fight Club, or 11 year olds on Xbox live, and I have to hand it to you for pulling it off like you do. But it's possible to balance it out, with a thought or two, and go "Hey, Sargon is a far-right pandering moron with close to a million dedicated fans, and a position of real political power, trying to inflame rhetoric about the rape of a fellow politician. Maybe defending him doesn't show that I'm not sensitive, rather the opposite, it reveals my own emotional fragility in that I'm so easily swayed into defending an abhorrent comment just because I'm desperate to look tough on the internet"
He's the best man for the job when it comes to dealing with the Rust section, trust me.
Hezzy. I am the Rust guy, nice to meet you! Wouldn't say that I am desperate to look tough. I just am not afraid of voicing my opinions
Not afraid of 'voicing my opinions', but gets in a tizzy when people don't take kindly to rape 'jokes' made by an alt-right mouth piece about political opponents.
You can be as annoyed by "snowflakes" as you want, but don't pretend that words have affects, whether you call the m"jokes" or not
And neither are the people you're calling "Snowflakes" or "Offended". They're less afraid than you, I'd wager.
I'm sure you're not making a conscious effort to look tough, but that's the vulnerability these "anti-SJW skeptics" tap into nonetheless in order to goad you into their politics. It's oversensitivity here, PC culture there, Feminist Cringe Compilation Part 12 over that way, and, without you realizing, the conversation goes from white guilt to race realism, but you can't take issue with it, because that'd mean you're offended. Sargon used to be a simple "PC bad" kinda guy and here he is now, praised by avowed nazis (Andrew Anglin, Richard Spencer) as a great "entry point" to their white supremacist rhetoric. Yes, some people act offended beyond what's reasonable, for sure, but guys like Sargon would have you think it's never reasonable to be offended. Do they really believe that? They constantly decry the opposition as uncivil, the whole "this is why Trump won" spiel is built on thinking the left's being too offensive to the right, and let's not forget that previous generations which get lauded as a model are way MORE uptight with their moral crusading, just on different topics (less "get this black man into that TV show" and more "get that black man out of my school") All they want is to be garbage people without being treated that way, so they appeal to people's fear of looking vulnerable by saying it's PC culture, and their fear of looking dumb by pulling the "it's a joke, and you didn't get it" card from where it sits, embedded at all times, deep within their ass
So basically sadism / schadenfreude then. That makes sense.
All I can say is good. This guy is a piece of shit fash and he deserves all the shit he gets.
She made some comments against men regarding rape some odd years ago and he tweeted the "Not rape you" comment you see at the time it was at least a punchline. The way these reactionary comments work is that someone says a dumb thing, and that is the set up, your sarcastic remark is the punchline. however this shit was long enough ago that this joke doesn't really work anymore. The 'set up' doesn't exist, so he's telling a punchline without a joke. And he's doing it in a spot where the media controls the narrative, so he's giving them their cake and letting them eat it whole in one bite.
