https://www.nytimes.com/2019/05/13/us/politics/russia-investigation-justice-department-review.html WASHINGTON — Attorney General William P. Barr has assigned the top federal prosecutor in Connecticut to examine the origins of the Russia investigation, according to two people familiar with the matter, a move that President Trump has long called for but that could anger law enforcement officials who insist that scrutiny of the Trump campaign was lawful. John H. Durham, the United States attorney in Connecticut, has a history of serving as a special prosecutor investigating potential wrongdoing among national security officials, including the F.B.I.’s ties to a crime boss in Boston and accusations of C.I.A. abuses of detainees. Mr. Barr has signaled his concerns about the Russia investigation during congressional testimony, particularly the surveillance of Trump associates. “I think spying did occur,” he said. "The question is whether it was adequately predicated. And I’m not suggesting that it wasn’t adequately predicated. But I need to explore that.” Last week, the F.B.I. director, Christopher A. Wray, defended the bureau, saying he was unaware of any illegal surveillance and refused to call agents’ work “spying.” Former F.B.I. and Justice Department officials have defended the genesis of the investigation, saying it was properly predicated.
Ok. Let it happen. They aren't exactly batting 1.000 on their investigations.
Are we going to have an investigation into this investigation when it's done as well? Seeing as this is all on Barr/Trumps "hunch" that there was wrongdoing.
This is what I thought too. He won't find shit because everything is legitimate.
The GOP has some of the most advanced gaslighting in the world. It's terrifying. They put the entire United States government to work in order to outright manufacture and support a narrative for their propaganda sphere to spread. It's some of the most wildly dystopian shit I can imagine I say this because we already fucking know where the probe originated. It originated in the legitimate concerns that Donald J. 'Tinhands' Trump could be compromised by foreign money, and there's a substantial body of publicly available information that lends credence to this concern But it threatens the GOP, who are also balls deep in foreign money. It puts their capital gains at risk. It puts holes in the gravy train to have people doing things like investigating crimes and demanding transparency and, god forbid, holding people accountable So now we have this shit. We are going to go on a great big made up adventure to find the SECRET CONSPIRACY that proves that it was TOTALLY the other guys who are the big mean corrupties!!!!!!!! Just look!!!! Don't look at us, look at them!!!! So that the GOP can keep gaslighting and abusing millions of US citizens for the sake of their profit margins H E L P
I'll take "treason" for 1.2 billion dollars, Alex.
Lets investigate this investigation into the investigation, and to make sure the investigation went well, lets investigate the investigation of the investigation into the investigation.
And we have now entered a Chuck Tingle fever dream version of reality. Obstructed in the Obstruction by my own Obstruction, the heartwarming love story of a man coming to find romance and passionate lust with his own deep need to obstruct justice and protect a treasonous President from being held accountable for his near-mafia corruption and complete disregard for the rule of law. Four thousand words summarizing a special council's report into sweaty throbbing man-on-crime action.
its right there in the muller report that the dossier wasn't the reason for the investigation it was the crazy amounts of contacts Trump's campaign was having with russian nationals. we didn't even learn of the dossier till long after the election. This is 100% pure bullshit.
