He was heard to comment "complete failure ... I could have spotted that a mile off" and "how did you not stop that?" as he was ushered away by his security staff.
Funny thing to say after walking directly towards the milkshaker and getting splashed at point-blank range.
I'm just waiting for someone to carry a bandolier of Yazoo, Frijj and Slimfast milkshakes. And before long, people will have to custom make their milkshakes.
When you're trying to defend the idea that Farage's opponents aren't radicalised, maybe don't suggest stabbing him in the same sentence? Or at all?
More milkshake for the rest of usto throw at fascist enabling fuckwits
Well uh...
local fascist covered in white sticky stuff from five guys
Of his milkshake, he added: "I was quite looking forward to it, but I think it went on a better purpose."
Definitely.
The video posted earlier is funny because you can see him just standing around and then when he spots Farage there is a moment where he thinks things over then you subtly see him make up his mind and take off the lid of the cup.
The best part of the video is the guy who goes "oh not again" immediately after Farage gets milkshaked.
Just in from The Onion (posting for laughs, please don't ban me.)

I can't believe Nigel Farage is fucking dead.
Maybe he should quit resembling a knife sheathe then?
Not long. They specifically requested McDonald's to not sell milkshakes on that day specifically to prevent an event like this from happening.
The lad's been charged with assault:

And naturally all the front pages are farage covered in milkshake, the milkshaker is now a dairy martyr

I hope McDonalds tell them to go get McFucked and stop being snowflakes about it
I believe it was a police request, though oddly enough seems it was only for mcdonalds.

Affront to democracy, what a load of crap. Political expression doesn't stop at the polls and people like Nigel ought to be held accountable everyday they're going around spreading their shit.
see that's what makes the milkshaking such an effective protest action:
Non-violent
Mildly inconveniences the target
Shows the public that the people that build their reputation on fearmongering and hate are actually soft as shite - This one is actually really important
Makes pretty much any serious decrying of the act look like a baby tantrum - See "Attack on Democracy" over a bloody milkshake
Think about how many times in the last weeks you've heard about alt-right figures getting milkshaked and how utterly stupid it makes them look. It makes them look weak, and weakness is the exact opposite of what they want.
His security is useless, imagine of that guy was running up with a gun instead of a milkshake.
Political expression doesn't stop at the polls, but it does stop at assaulting people. I have a hard time feeling bad for Nigel here, in fact it feels quite well-deserved, but on principle this really shouldn't fly.
When I saw this thread yesterday evening I told a co-worker that the dogshit express was gonna be screaming bloody murder about this.
I'm not surprised they did it, but I'm surprised I was right
The fact that it's ok to make rape threats "as a joke" but a little cold milk is a vicious assault on body and democracy is kind of an indicator that the wrong people are setting the rules these days.
Can we please not overstate this? This isn't remotely comparable to physical assault, nobody gets hurt, it's throwing a harmless liquid. At worst in the US it'd be classified as simple assault, and even then as I demonstrated in the previous thread this kind of shit happened, most DAs wouldn't even take the case - it's literally only because they're a public figure they're even charged with assault.
You know what else isn't conducive to furthering democracy? Fascim.
Bash the Fash is a national British past time ffs, it's just this doesn't actually hurt anyone.
I used assault simply because I couldn't find a better word for it.
As far as I'm aware, Nigel Farage isn't fascist. It also seems like me using "assault" isn't a big deal, because I'm pretty sure that "bashing" someone constitutes assault.
I was more making a general statement on the nature of double standards we are seeing from this kind of politics.
Oh, sure. You don't have to search long for hypocrisy on the right.
If he wasn't being charged with assault, would you feel this strongly about it? I only ask because it feels like you are focusing on the charge and not the actual act itself. Also having a hard time trying to discern the difference between saying that an action is well-deserved but on the flip side saying it shouldn't fly.
I think the entire idea of milkshaking or egging politicians is to make it difficult for them to appear in public without being on edge but doing so in a way that minimizes the violence of the action as much as possible.
Perhaps the great nation of Denmark, in the name of it's glorious tradition of western liberalism, has perfected the art of statecraft to the point that this is a serious concern but in the United States at least and, presumably, to some extent, in the UK, throwing milkshakes at politicians is far, far down the list of things that aren't "conducive to furthering democracy".
It's a waste of good food and the lad now has a criminal record, only to soil a non-fascist (however much of an asshole he may be) politician's suit, which I doubt he lacks the funds to have it dry-cleaned. And his supporters are probably gonna get a lot more vocal too, like "look at our opponents, all they can do is throw food like cavemen in a fit of impotent rage" or something.
So yeah someone got hurt: milkshaker lad hurt his own career prospects and reputation, for something inconsequential at best and potentially damaging to his own ideology at worst. All in all, neither a smart move nor an useful one IMHO.
ha ha milky boy
As I said earlier, I only used the word “assault” because I couldn’t come up with another. There’s no real contradiction between “well-deserved” and “shouldn’t fly”; a murderer might well deserve death, but that doesn’t mean that murdering them should fly.
