From an international (if very close-by) perspective, we're looking at it as pretty much what it literally is: The country is being held hostage by a turtle who just can't seem to reach his raspberry so he's taking it out on everyone by turning the Senate into a rubber stamp for a crazy fuckwad who's only ever put in a full day's work when he's been deposed by a lawyer who won't just let him get up and have a break whenever he gets bored of what's going on.

We're almost as angry as you Americans are because Trump's trying to put the torch to our economy and we didn't even vote for him, but we recognize that the sickness is hated and opposed by many. We suffered under Stephen Harper for ten years and pleaded with the international community to not judge us for electing the Third Bush, and that was merely a prelude to the rise of Biff Tannen Donald Trump, so we can empathize.

The world knows that more than half the country does not like or accept what is going on, but your democracy is so broken it doesn't seem to matter what all of you dissenters think. Don't give up on that remaining sympathetic goodwill.
