Perhaps, but at the same time if he does he's basically ensuring that people are likely to physically march on the White House if he went that far. There's a ton of people out there who really, really cannot wait to see Donald get impeached and/or removed from office, even in places you'd not expect (I live in a deep-Red state and people here still hate him to varying levels for how awful and plain shitty the man is).

i think im just too jaded after trump's victory to get hyped about any of this lol. when charges against trump are actually declared and filed, i'll start getting a bit hyped. but till then i can't shake the feeling any minute now the entire investigation is just gonna get shut down for any number of reasons, and then nothing will come from any of this.

If Mueller got fired would he be legally allowed to dump/leak all the stuff he has investigated?

From what I understand, this usually means he already has all the information and he's just ordering this to see what Trump withholds. I can't even imagine everything that his team has right now.

You don't crack tough crime-boss cases like Mueller has without knowing your shit. His technique/determination/dedication are something else.

Its less that and more a career FBI agent having extensive knowledges about how far the law can go as well as having dealt with all manner of different white collar to black collar criminal. He's not something else, he's basically the end result of anyone who works as a career FBI agent.

When you've worked as many jobs as I've done where they seem to effectively pay everyone else to stand around and fuck off on their phones instead, any amount of work ethic seems incredible, I guess.

Trump has looked guilty from the moment he announced his run for office, I sincerely doubt he would be worried about his image now in regard to firing Mueller.

The guy was the FBI director during the Bush era. He's probably seen a ton of ways people can worm through the law; way more than the average person would know.

He's got everything from major financial fraud and public corruption to terrorism and narcotics conspiracies under his belt. And that was before becoming director of the FBI.

Mueller seems to be doing a great job but from the sounds of it this investigation is so expansive it sounds like it could take another year or two for it to complete. Hopefully much faster, though. I really hope this will all go off without a hitch. What I wouldn't give to know what's going on inside that investigation at the moment … hope someone there will write a book about the whole ordeal in the future.

I remember reading that even if Democrats win all seats that they possibly can during the midterms and don't lose any, it's still not enough for them to start impeachment procedures by themselves... so no matter what it's gonna have to go through Republicans™, which is not something that leaves me particularly enthusiastic I'd like to think that the only way Trump could actually face any consequences for even 1% of what he's done would be for Mueller to unveil evidence of something too horrible even for Republicans to bear, but I don't even know if that's actually possible, those parasites like hanging onto power way too much

Depends on how tied up in all this he is, he either becomes the next president or he follows Trump shortly after.

Meanwhile they just passed the 'Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief, and Consumer Protection Act' in the senate. Which removes post-crash regulations for 25 of the largest american banks. Putting us all back on track for another meltdown of the global financial system. I think the timing coincides nicely with all this trump-related fuckery. Not that i don't think the guy should get a rectal booting.

Incredible that they can call the act that guts the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau a "Consumer Protection Act." Some of the regulations were definitely restrictive and contradictory to such a degree that compliance was difficult even with the best of intentions, yes, but this is throwing the baby out with the bathwater in a major way. This revives and empowers the predatory lending practices that caused the crash and ruined the lives of countless people.
