or really bad ones??
I guess LucasArts hasn't been very good in recent years anyway. I've been looking forward to that next-gen Indiana Jones game with Euphoria forever, not that I was ever expecting to see it anyway.
It's not surprising in the least. They have made a series of shitty decisions, which is actually surprising, since it's really fucking obvious what fans want.
Instead of two Force Unleashed games and a shitty Indiana Jones game, both severely dumbed down from what was initially shown, they should have given us Battlefront 3 and Jedi Academy 4.
It's unlikely 1313 and Battlefront 3 will get cancelled. The Battlefront series wasn't made by LucasArts, only published by them, so that's likely going to be unaffected. While 1313 was an in-house development, it was due for release later this year so it's not like they're just going to say 'hey guys lets throw this nearly finished game that's worth millions of dollars into the trash'.

I could imagine bungie making a new republic commando game.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
What in the actual fuck
or really bad ones??
Compared to their recent ones?
I tend to stay optimistic.
Give the Battlefront license to DICE !
License star wars to obsidian.
Hopefully someone will salvage all of this stuff.
Goodbye any hope of getting a new Full Throttle or Day of the Tentacle game.
Fuck you very much Disney.
Disney buys LucasArts
...and its gone.
Well thanks a lot, Disney.
Give the Battlefront license to DICE !
No thanks, I don't want Star wars games licensed by EA.

Grim Fandango, KOTOR's 1+2, Rouge Squad series, Monkey Island Series, Dark Forces/Jedi Knight series, Battlefront series, Mercenaries 1, Republic Commando, Gladius, a good deal of the Lego Star Wars games, and PRE NGE Star Wars Galaxies + Jump To lightspeed would like to have a word with you.
Oh for FUCKS SAKE I was excited about Star Wars 1313.
Something tells me we'll be seeing SW 1313 in the future anyway.
Oh for FUCKS SAKE I was excited about Star Wars 1313.
On the plus side, a new Battlefield and CoD game this year :v:
First Finding Dory, now this.
I've lost all of my respect for Disney.

Grim Fandango, Gladius and Republic Commando were the only games you listed actually made by LucasArts, the rest were all just published by them.

Tell-tale games did the Lego games.
Those games are all ancient, except for Lego Star Wars, and only a few of them were developed by Lucas Arts, all of Lucas Art's recent games have been awful.
Lucasarts Co-developed most of the games on that list that they didn't develop, and their age doesn't matter.
But maybe they haven't shat on LucasArts, the devs are most likely with Disney. So there's gonna be hope for Battlefront at least.
Tell-tale games did the Lego games.
Traveler's tales did the lego games,
List of games
Most of those products like Jedi Knight and Battlefront series were outsourced projects. LucasArts hadn't got shit done in a decade so this is not a big surprise. Only thing I'm mourning them for is Republic Commando when it comes to Star Wars games.
Edit: Ninja'd

Hey now, DICE are great developers, its not their fault their successful engine led to EA buying them out
i agree though, EA molested them and will continue to do so

I literally almost cried.
1313 was -the- game I was looking forward to.
And I have so many memories of Lucasarts, so many hours and great games.
fuck
[del]Also guys, this article says that only the publishing arm is shut down. I'd wait for Disney to make their own announcement before we jump to the conclusion that 1313 is dead.[/del]
Woops, completely misread that article it appears.

EA doesn't micromanage the nitty gritty game design stuff DICE does. The closest they come is managing deadlines and marketing, which every publisher does.
From what I hear from the two people I know who worked at DICE it's actually a pretty good place to work.
