this picture sums up my feelings
Twenty thousand shaaaaaaaares of stock!
ITT: Everyone forgot Disney was shit
We may have years, we may have hours, but sooner or later, we push up flowers.
Finally, we can keep the Star Wars license in the hands of game developers who know what they're doing.
Still, I feel as if no matter what they do, they can't do worse than this shit. besides, they may have a better company make the star wars games.
The part where the Jedi made everyone laugh at his joke was funny... Oh wait I see what you did you son of a bitch

guys holy fucking shit this is a great thing i just realized this double fine can remake grim fandango and full throttle now
Lucasarts wasn't "shut down" Disney just switched it to a licensing model, so instead of developing games itself, it will license third party developers to do so. This is actually a good thing because now the chances of seeing a new Battlefront or KoTOR are exponentially higher. Also, First Assault and 1313 aren't canceled, they were suspended. They will still be looking towards licensing third party companies to finish and release them.
Just remember, the only thing that LucasArts had going that was actually worthwhile was 1313. They were mainly a publisher and they haven't really produced any GREAT games in about 8 years (Republic Commando). Star Wars Galaxies/Dark Forces/Dark Forces 2/Outcast/Jedi Academy/Empire at War/Battlefront/Battlefront 2/X-Wing/Knights of the Old Republic/Knights of the Old Republic II/Lego Star Wars were all outsourced and developed by other studios. Even Mercenaries and the Indiana Jones game from 2003(?) were outsourced. Can't really blame Disney for shutting them down since they have been unprofitable for nearly a decade.
I needed a walkthrough for the later parts.
The fucking car keys behind the door was the most irritating part, the rest was fairly straight forward..
Why did anyone think 1313 was going to be good?
Why did anyone think 1313 was going to be good?
It looked like Uncharted: Star Wars Edition. I'd buy that in a heartbeat.
No more Star Wars: 1313? fuck you Disney.
lol that game looked so abysmally mediocre. [editline]4th April 2013[/editline]
It looked like Uncharted: Star Wars Edition. I'd buy that in a heartbeat.
this is why it would suck. just another cover-based tps action adventure. [editline]4th April 2013[/editline] (not saying uncharted's bad!)
The article has a point, in recent years their games haven't been up to standard. More than likely, they viewed them as a money pit.

I only made it to the 0:15 mark. Whoever the FUCK thought that was a good idea deserves to be drawn and quartered in front of the Disney Magic Castle.
can't say i'm surprised, all the recent lucasart games have been mediocre at best.
Someone needs to buy LucasArts just to make Battlefront 3.

well there goes 1313.................... Fuck that game looked so epic.
well there goes 1313.................... Fuck that game looked so epic.
It looked hella bland.

People in this thread are confusing 90's, early 2000's Lucas Arts with 2013 Lucas Arts which are nothing alike. Also, most of the good Star Wars games people are talking about were published by Lucas Arts, not made by them. Also, Force Unleashed was bad.
