Is it bad that I immediently looked at the chick's ass, not the awesome image?
I saw the awesome image first (because I was scrolling down) and then I forgot about it :smug:
So god could really be an Alien now ! [img_thumb]http://img160.imageshack.us/img160/6931/1254787749247.jpg[/img_thumb]
Oh god. Please let it be this.
This is actually pretty interesting, and I'm Christian. The fucks that find this good only because they disprove of religion itself are annoying though.
I'm not religious at all, but I like the idea of god separating heaven and earth rather then just creating it, to me it's a better story.
Of course the Bible's been mis-translated, but what makes you think she's 100% correct on this? She might've made some mistakes herself. I'm not saying this in a negative way, just in a logical way, as there is always a chance of error in anything.
This is all because of louzy roman translators! If they'd got it right in the first time this debate wouldn't never exist.
NOW Atheist of facepunch its our time to strike
This is all because of louzy roman translators! If they'd got it right in the first time this debate wouldn't never exist.
they had an agenda to follow
Is it bad that I immediently looked at the chick's ass, not the awesome image?
Oh right there is a large man with a sword and a thing behind him *continues to stare at the arse.*
This is all because of louzy roman translators! If they'd got it right in the first time this debate wouldn't never exist.
Everything they wrote had to be accepted by the Church and the Pope during the days of the Holy Roman Empire. It wasn't easy with such strict filters on what they could write.

Wow, religion tearing itself a new one without the help of science. It only took this long, though.
The notion of God as the Creator is wrong, claims a top academic, who believes the Bible has been wrongly translated for thousands of years. This is really interesting. People who were ignorant creationists are basically disproved. It even supports my own beliefs as well. Source: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/religion/6274502/God-is-not-the-Creator-claims-academic.html
I've heard a theory going around that earth might've been created at an earlier date, perhaps wiped for some reason, and was started anew. That's just one of the theories, though.
Speaking of linguistics, "creatio ex nihilo" seems wrong. I understand that "ex nihilo" is sometimes used but I see no reason why in this case it's not "ex nulla re", because the nothing we're talking about in this case is something very concrete, the absence of our world, and, if I recall correctly, "nihilo"-ablative is only used with abstract nothingness like "in no degree" or "in no respect".
And you get your own 72 virgins. I mean Hot Damn, who doesn't want their own 72 hot babes to screw when they're dead.
Nobody said they were hot or girls.
But all those die-hard religious people will still be crazy
Only the Die Hard ones, I'm not that fussed myself :3:
This is one academic going against millenia of interpretation, with no real proof. This changes nothing.
you cant change what i believe!!!
Good for you :downs:
And you get your own 72 virgins. I mean Hot Damn, who doesn't want their own 72 hot babes to screw when they're dead.
They say virgins, they could be fat old nerdy men for all you know. NINJA'd!
According to Judeo-Christian tradition, God created the Earth out of nothing. Hehehe
True or not, this isn't going to change jackshit. Christians won't admit they were wrong.
Science wins, religion loses!
True or not, this isn't going to change jackshit. Christians won't admit they were wrong.
We need to wait about 50 years until they have no choice.
Interesting that this would entail an original species of sea monsters that god simply separated from the humans... Evolution-much?
What as the OP done. Facepunch and Religion do NOT mix
Facepunch and Religion do NOT mix
whine about it
whine about it
We need to wait about 50 years until they have no choice.
I kinda want religion to end now, but guess that'll have to do.
Why do we care what the bible truly says? Faith is what the human mind makes of it. There is no "accurate" or "inaccurate" when it comes to fiction. EDIT: Changed "religion" to "faith" so I'm not wrong anymore.
I kinda want religion to end now, but guess that'll have to do.
you don't know what religion is
Why do we care what the bible truly says?
