Sweet.
So, Science can be related to religion.
What?
Believing in a god is not irrational. It's just something that cannot be proven or disproven. Pick something that comforts you, and live your life to its fullest. When you die, you will find out.
you're both an antitheist and an idiot

are you 6 years-old

you're a fucking idiot
This man speaks the truth. Leave each other alone, just have respect and everything will be alright.

too bad he's wrong

Well, actually, it is. It's a belief in something that has no evidence to support it's existence and thus illogical. (See: burden of proof logical fallacy)
Well, actually, it is. It's a belief in something that has no evidence to support it's existence and thus illogical. (See: burden of proof logical fallacy)
I'll go ahead and say this so he doesn't have to:
"YOU CAN'T PROVE IT DOESN'T EXIST SO IT MUST BE LOGICAL"
Believing in a god is not irrational. It's just something that cannot be proven or disproven. Pick something that comforts you, and live your life to its fullest. When you die, you will find out.
try exchanging god with santa claus or elves and see how that works out for ya.

Let me say, firstly, that you are wrong. You cannot prove what you believe.
That puts you in the same boat as religious people, meaning you cannot back up your claims.
So why the fuck would you go about flaming the shit out of theistic people, if you are no better than them?
[editline]2:27[/editline]
I'm atheist, and I can't back it up.
I've acknowledged the fact that nobody can be right in this impossible game.
The entire thiest vs. atheist/antitheist argument can pretty much be boiled down to:
The sentence below is true.
The sentence above is false.
The two constantly negate each other, and neither is more credible than the other.
An answer will never be found unless the sky opens and God himself comes down to say, "Hey, you fucktarded shits, I'm real." and then does a miracle to prove it.
Until then, I'll not believe. But it doesn't mean that I'm right.

This guy got it right.
Discussions of this norm on Facepunch are absolutely useless, because nobody of present have knowledge to bring on constructive and valuable discussion.
I.E - Most atheists have horribly twisted image about Bible and whole religion, and most believers just don't have enough intelligence to see when it's an useless fight.

I love how you paint me as a blatantly antitheistic person
:swoon:
I was making fun of his logic because it is stupid, not because he is a theist.
too bad he's wrong
Then there is that guy who spends hours trolling people.
Then there is that guy who spends hours trolling people.
try actually arguing rather than calling me a troll
you guys get on to me for ad hominem shit but you do it yourselves
try actually arguing rather than calling me a troll
Try actually arguing rather than call us a bunch of fucktards for not believing in your logic.
try exchanging god with santa claus or elves and see how that works out for ya.
We already discussed this a few pages back. Control f Santa.

Okay I see what you're saying, but the same goes to arguments on the origin of the Universe.

scientists admit that the origin of the universe and what was there before it, is still an unknown
:bang:
We don't know. Why can't you accept that as an answer? We don't know if there is a soul, but without any evidence for it, it is logical to assume there isn't. Replace soul with god, elves, santa, magic as necessary.
we know there is no such thing as a soul
scientists admit that the origin of the universe and what was there before it, is still an unknown
Just like the existence of a higher spirit is unknown. This is why it's pointless to argue anything besides open mindedness.

actually no it's not
it's illogical to think that the abrahamic god exists
prove me wrong without circular logic
:bang:

Oh okay, sorry I get it now. Yeah you're right it could be considered illogical because there is no empirical evidence of it.
shit
:bang:

Humans are curious creatures. We search for answers for anything, even if it's totally insignificant.
We also fill in the unknown blanks with false answers when we can't find the true ones.
Read this sentence:
Th lzy brwn animl jmpd ovr th fnce.
You probably unintentionally filled in the blanks where there were no letters, to form this sentence:
The lazy brown animal jumped over the fence.
However, there could be other ways to fill this in and it would still be logical.
That lazy brown animal jumped over that fence.
Right now, everyone is filling in the unknown blanks with their own ideas.
Until someone reveals the true unknowns, we'll always be caught up in this annoying little game.
However, there could be other ways to fill this in and it would still be logical.
that has no relevance to this thread
that has no relevance to this thread
Oh, but it does.
Right now we don't know how we got here, so we're filling in the unknown with our own ideas.
It's possible someone got the blank filled with the correct idea, but it would have been totally by mistake.
actually no it's not
it's illogical to think that the abrahamic god exists
prove me wrong without circular logic
Prove me that earth isn't flat. Now.
You guys are still arguing?
I went out and had pizza, got laid, won the lottery, had more pizza, and piloted a fighter jet between now and my last post.
So could have you all.
But you didn't.
Prove me that earth isn't flat. Now.
Bad example, sorry.
Prove that God doesn't exist without the use of the argument that "there is no proof that he does exist." Now.
