They both belong to archosaurs along with crocodiles, but that only makes them related. I don't know why the person who wrote the article made this mistake, but pterosaurs being dinosaurs is not correct. Therefore, this discovery only proves that pterosaurs - or at least some of the species - had fur. Dinosaurs had scales and/or feather.
