I like how the OP has been responding.
"This is a terrible thing! Our rights are completely GONE!!"
"Uhh...dude this is old, and it was repealed"
"Oh...well the very FACT that this HAPPENED is terrible! The government wants to take your rights!"
May I remind you that "the government" that wants to take your rights is the very same government that repealed this law?
Christ I am so glad I am no longer one of you conspiracy theorists. You all fail to see the bigger picture, you claim to be enlightened but you're as blind as the very people you criticize.
actually if you had an open mind you'd realize bush did 9/11 and that the government has been trying to steal all of your money for twenty five years using secret nano machines that are injected into you everytime you get a vaccination
these nanomachines break down your blood vessels causing you to die faster, and when you die the government steals all of your insurance money so they can fund oil expeditions on mars; yes mars has oil but your government never told you. there is an entire civilization on mars but the government has hidden this since day one; proof that we faked the moon landing. also pluto is no longer a planet because we actually found large amounts of water deposits there, teeming with micro organisms so complex that the government wanted to keep them all for themselves for genetic research that will help push their nano technology even further
but you would never realized this because you are close minded
Close minded has become synonymous with completely fucking nuts?
18. I also suffer from long term memory problems. There are only a few things in the past 16 years of my life that I can remember. So I may have heard of it, but maybe not.

What makes you think that Obama is any different?
That would explain why you don't remember that it's always been like this.
Close minded has become synonymous with completely fucking nuts?
No, in relation to conspiracy theories, these are the perfectly sensible persons refusing to give in for the spam.
He's a democratic, and he's not Bush.
Few, if any, conspiracy theories are right, and if they were as powerful and evil babyeaters as you claim they are,
they would actually have taken over the world and killed every single one of you, years if not decades ago.
I'm not making any claims like that. I'm simply pointing out that the government who supposedly has our best interest in mind passes laws like these without any kind of media coverage. What if no one conducted a trial against this, do you think that our government would have gotten rid of it by their own choice? I doubt it.
Difference between bush and obama: bush upholds the status quo, while obama just lies and does exactly the same.
Just so we're clear.
Also, to point out one section:
That is not just saying you can punished for resisting the draft, that is saying that if you even suggest that someone should not enlist, you can be punished to the fullest extent. That is not just curbing action, its curbing speech and opinion.

And one more just for the hell of it, showing that it IS technically constitutionally allowed to suspend habeas corpus if for the safety of the people of the United States of America.
But this is different. This states that habeas corpus may be suspended for anyone declared "an enemy of the state". Which, in this case, is whatever the President wants it to be. Is it not also constitutional to overthrow the government in the event that it becomes corrupt and no longer is for the good of the people? We explicitly were given the 2nd amendment just for that reason.
Skipping the conspiracy theory bullshit, am I the only one surprised and disappointed by the fact that Obama hasn't run sweeping repeals of the Patriot act and other unconstitutional Bush actions?
Instead of burying that shit for good, he doesn't seem to want to give up all that power.

Yeah. But the government isn't terrible. Just shitheads who think everyone is out to get them and that they are the only sane person (read: you) think it is, then you ruin it for the rest of us by doing stupid things like blowing up government structures causing a governmental backlash (read: Weather Underground). Get over yourself, the government just has idiots in power, but they get filtered out over time.
Also, Abraham Lincoln did the same thing when he suspended habeas corpus. So did Roosevelt during World War 2 (See Japanese American Interment, German American Internment, and Italian American Internment). You gotta look at all instances, not just the one tiny, insignificant, backwater, shit-headed, baseless, bullshit one that KINDA supports your theory.
