Well, if Bethesda buys out Valve, I'll be waiting for "Half Life 3- A Dystopian First Person Shooter RPG" to get game of the year'd and buy it.
Zenimax isn't Bethesda.

Nevermind. They technically are.
Zenimax, I'd be okay with, Gamestop, fuck you.
No, they are not. The article in the OP bothered me on this:
Bethesda would have no say in this, Zenimax would. They ARE NOT THE SAME! Zenimax owns Bethesda.
Zenamax and Bethesda were founded by the same guy.

Dude i was going to post this, yeah i cannot express how much i do not want this to happen. Gamestop sucks big time, EB Games was much better; they gave me half of what i payed for games instead of 10%. Valve is perfectly fine by itself
Nah never going to happen, Valve won't fuck over there reputation for some extra cash.
No.
Fuck No.
Never.

Now with auto-aim, bad animations, and poorly implemented RPG mechanics!
I was under the impression that Valve were as rich as Midas and a buyout would be next to impossible.

I don't actually think this would happen.

Barney first introduces himself with his usual voice, then shifts into a rich upper-class relaxed voice as you talk to him more.
No... No... NOoOoOOOoooooOOooOoOOooOOo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fuck off you dick heads and don't try anything or I will fucking MURDER YOU!
Oh no please don't buy valve I don't want any of the benefits that could be generated from them being in the same thing as ID.

Wow. Benefits. Think of the fucking downsides, it outnumbers and outweighs it.

If they wouldn't have full freedom then we'd soon be paying for TF2 content packs or the likes. Which is not in the mind of Valve. Nor would we approve.
Their business model is great and so far it's going on smooth. Last thing I'd want for them is to see Valve corp. working under someone else.
I think Valve is doing well enough now. No point in selling out.
Valve's never gonna sell out. It makes great games, has a powerful online distribution system, and a large devoted fanbase. If anything, Zenimax and GameStop should become subsidiaries of Valve.
But hopefully, if they do expand, they won't become as vampiric as certain other companies, and still churn out the same old quality products.
As I said before - I don't think Gamestop's HQ is capable of surviving through a siege.

But this is just a rumor, right?
FUCK NO.
I hope VALVe turns the offer down, if they ever even try to buy them.
If only we still had :hellnaw: ... Ah well, I'm sure Valve's rich enough to stave off a merger, all things considered. :commissar:
If this ever happens, I am never buying a valve game again.
i don't see why this would happen.. Valve is doing well enough to stay clear of acquisition.
they are making a fair bit of money from l4d2 and it's not even out yet.

With the amount of stuff Valve puts out I'd be more than happy paying for extras.
Not no, not hell no, but FUCK NO!!!!! The day another company aquires Valve is the day I fashion a noose.
If they did they might as well call the HL2 series quits and start working on Left4Dead 3: Gamestop edition.
Both would be horrible, but I'd rather have GameStop than Bethesda taking over. :/
But I doubt this will happen, Valve will most likely (read: they absolutely will) just remain a stand-alone company.
You guys overreact to the stupidest things.
