What the hell is a ship that big going to do to defend anything that a group of small patrol boats can't do better? Let's face it, this thing is a gigantic bullseye.

Small patrol boats carry 800 personel and vehicles and equipment right.
At least I'm pretty sure
I thought this boat was defending
It's a transport boat.

It's an amphibious assault vessel. It is just hanging out right now for patriotic reasons.
The real purpose is to support marines and their expeditionary warfare doctrine as a seaborne base of operations or simple transport.
They should try making a ship out of all the body parts of people that died in WTC.
The USS Gorefest.
That's kinda fucked up
For the imperium of man?
[editline]03:37PM[/editline]
Is it fueled by the bones and blood of the deceased?
Well this is more than 3,000 people dead. It was also the start of a war, so in a way it is slowly killing more people. And a lot of the firefighters who came (There where a lot of them) have cancer now because of the smoke and gas-like solids from the debris. As with many other people who got out in time, and the many in nearby buildings, on the streets, etc. I know a lot of you do not like America but really, please don't make fun of this. My uncle died in 9/11 and he had just gotten engaged 2 days before. It is sickening to hear what you have to say.
It also has a hybrid engine that runs on the tears of the victims' loved ones or alternatively high-octane patriotism.
Seriously though, as much as America is overdramatizing WTC in comparison to the 2004 boxing day tsunami, for example, the victims still deserve to be remembered, and since the US has money, why not let them have their moving memorial(First one in the world by the way, atleast to my knowlege).
It's bow of patriotism will not fall to communist terrorist bullets of deception and hate! The souls of the lost and their Lord Jesus make this boat invincible to even Satan's mighty forces! God bless America!
That's just America for you. We need more warships.
What would be the main goal? Other than the obvious. I'm not sure how many people want to play a terrorist crashing into a building.
A) you have a 2 Hour Real-Time Time limit and your a firefighter saving people in the building and attempting to escape before the time is up
B) Your in the building and you have to escape
Small next to "Emma Mærsk"

400 meters long and 156.907 tons.
:smug:
The Maersk is small compared to the Knock Nevis.

Rate me bad reading. Amphibious transport.

Sounds pretty interesting actually.
But shit would hit the fan if it was made. Similar to 'JFK Reloaded'.
Huge symbolic ship built to compensate for the humiliating ass rape encountered by a mediocre terrorist group in 2001.

These boats and many other American Naval vessels do a shitload of humanitarian aid around the world.
In fact the very test(among others) this ship and her crew had to take part in to see if it was worthy for deployment was evacuating/processing civilians from a war zone.
We do a lot more things than kill people.
I respect this ship and its crew strongly.
I still think 9/11 was a conspiracy.
You sir are an idiot.
We're so awesome. Blow up some of our buildings and we turn them into a huge ass ship. What now bitches? :fsmug:

Fill it with zombies and it will sell 30 million copies
9/11 was a big deal because it was an attack on U.S. soil.

Just to help give you guys a sense of its size.
Doesn't really do justice since you don't give us a sense of size on that Osprey.

Just look at the relative size of the cockpit.
Man.
I love that word.

I'm fairly sure the USSR isn't a superpower anymore

Uhhh, I was using the USSR as an example. (The US considered it the greatest threat, or something of that caliber).
