You just sat and stared at your disk?
I would. Looking at and analyzing art is always interesting. (except for MW3)
Really? You're getting all hard over some artwork that you will look at for 5 seconds after first opening the box and before sticking it in the console, then never again?
No hes having a heart attack (the hhnnnggggg) over how bad it is. Dumbbee face.
ITT: Collector pack wars

Others just get as many budget products as humanly possible and put their logo on them.
How video games work in the 2nd decade of the 21st century: "Our game is buggy and cannot ship properly until we give proper post-release support. Until then, let us tide over our customers by encouraging them to pay $10 - $50 more for useless merchandise." works every time.
i remember when you used to get cool shit for buying the strategy guide to some games Myst 1's strategy guide had this kickass map of all of Myst Island, i've still got it
I'm getting this one for my birthday from my sister
Are you fucking kidding It's like even worse than Call of Duty $100 for a fucking statuette what were they thinking [editline]18th September 2011[/editline]
Buy it used for only $999.99 today! (+$3.99 shipping & tax)
The collector's edition had cost 60€ for me on PC.

you guys argue about the most pointless shit ever
Forums are mainly about arguing anyway. Life would be boring if we all agreed with eachother.
Forums are mainly about arguing anyway. Life would be boring if we all agreed with eachother.
you all fucking agree with each other about how bad MW3 is anyway
Wait, people didn't already know this? EBGames have been advertising it for weeks now. http://ebgames.com.au/xbox360-154293-Call-of-Duty-Modern-Warfare-3-Hardened-Edition-Xbox-360 http://ebgames.com.au/ps3-154261-Call-of-Duty-Modern-Warfare-3-Hardened-Edition-PlayStation-3
you all fucking agree with each other about how bad MW3 is anyway
I'm sure it won't be bad! I probably may not get it though. Out of all of them this one will be the most likely to be purchased because it uses steamworks.
can someone explain why facepunch has a million cod threads if facepunch hates it so much? I don't get why you guys feel the need to discuss the sizes of your hate-boners every fifteen minutes
Meanwhile at Infinity Ward: Sales Manager: "Sir! Our game sales are plummeting, and our fan base is rapidly shrinking. The release of the last Modern Warfare sparked up some serious demands for a brand new game engine and graphics. If we don't create something revolutionary, many of our fans are likely to begin migrating onto other games of similar genre, especially Battlefield games - and with Battlefield 3 release right around the corner, we might have to invest a lot to completely change the gaming experience for our players." Managing Director: "Seems like we must change the experience of Call of Duty as we know it... ALRIGHT - Reuse the engine, add 4 new models, allow quad wielding of automatic shotguns, and add a ridiculous amount of batshit-insane perks. Our fans will love it." After [del]2 years[/del] 2 weeks of development, hopefully it has been worth the wait.

What's this "Elite" shit? Are we going to have to pay to play this game online ON TOP of Xbox Live? Or at all on PS3/PC? If so I'm cancelling my pre order right the fuck now.
if i can't bust a nut might as well bust someone else's nut
My favorites are the people that go all psuedo-intellectual gaming aficionado on you and arguing that Call of Duty is killing the games industry because it doesn't radically change ever release, and then buying the next Elder Scrolls/Fallout/Mass Effect/Assassins Creed/Halo/Battlefield game. Since I am nice and somewhat buzzed right now, I will answer your question with a no, the game won't be pay to play. Elite is an optional set of perks you get that don't have anything to do with the gameplay.

But it's understandable to dislike their business practices from a gamers standpoint.
I haven't been following MW3 that much. I know I liked Blops and MW2 so I figured I'd preorder MW3 too. Not really something I have to research I know I'd like. I just don't want to pay extra to get access to the other half of the game. [editline]17th September 2011[/editline]
Remember how Black Ops had stat tracking?
funny and original a+ post [editline]17th September 2011[/editline] elder scrolls changes a fuckton with each game don't you be hatin
Touche, Morrowind to Oblivion was a pretty big change in quality levels.
You don't have to worry - if you have been paying for the exact same thing 2 times, paying extra for the third won't be much of a problem.
lest we forget the huge-ass box that was the halo 3 legendary edition that started this all
The infamous cat-sized Master Chief helmet. The art book is probably filled with the artworks you can already see on the internet. If it comes with no making-of and no explanation like with Fallout 3's collector edition then it's a fucking scandal, especially for $100
Master Midget. [editline]17th September 2011[/editline]
was going to get that but I just have the regular edition, was like "not really worth it" lest we forget the huge-ass box that was the halo 3 legendary edition that started this all
For the price of a plane ticket to Berlin I could have chipped off more of that for free, but I was too lazy so I got the game instead.
Remember how Black Ops had stat tracking? Well, MW3 has it, too, you just have to pay extra if you want to use it.
Holy shit how is misinformation this widespread when you have a computer literally right in front of you.
