CoD elite is still too fucking expensive. It should cost a small fee on ps3 and be free to xbox live users or something, you don't have to pay one more penny than usual for Halo Waypoint.

For the price of a plane ticket to Berlin I could have chipped off more of that for free, but I was too lazy so I got the game instead.
A plane ticket to Berlin from almost anywhere in the US is like 1500 dollars or something like that.
For the cost of a macbook I could just go to googlemaps.com on Safari and look at the street view of the Berlin Wall Memorial

1) It's nothing like Halo Waypoint
2) We have no idea what features are set in stone right now for free or paid members

Different story, different campaign, and new zombies maps.
It's not the same fucking game.
Especially not MW2 vs BLOPS. BLOPS is a different time period as well. With different weapons.
Just because it's the same engine doesn't mean it's the same game. Going by that logic every single game based on the Unreal engine is the same.

It really looks like halo waypoint. Except if it features a brand new game.

4 hours of single player is still not acceptable, multiplayer or not.

this person is clearly superior to everyone and should be made lord over our primitive minds, please teach us how you got such great taste.
seriously though why do you care if people like a game you don't like, it's a little bit pathetic
Modern warfare 3 is not a 70 dollars experience, it's a xbox live arcade $20 game at best, it could even fit as a DLC.
Black Ops had a lot of new things - a rather different multiplayer, a different story that had a bit more work put into it, different weapons, even a different design. THIS is just another half assed game that barely is worth the qualification of full game. I dare anyone to tell me Activision isn't full of greedy fucks for releasing 3 almost identical games in the ridiculously small period of 4 years, not including two spin-offs, one of which is a complete ripoff and only gave Nazi Zombies, a game mode that deserves to be sold separately as a small xbox live arcade game because that's the only half interesting thing in these series.
I mean yeah, it's their right to like the game or not, but the problem is most people will run for this god awful collector's edition and will certainly pay for that CoD Elite bullshit with a great smile on their face, even buying all the crap DLCs they will release two weeks prior the game's launch. Activision doesn't deserve the money they're getting from this game and most importantly shouldn't be comforted in their actual feeling that players are mindless money-cows that should be milked to no end.
DO NOT BUY THIS GAME FULL PRICE, you're ruining much better licenses and pushing the video game industry to be more and more expensive.
Are you fucking kidding
It's like even worse than Call of Duty
$100 for a fucking statuette what were they thinking
$150 for a statuette made out of cheap PVC actually. It's such a flip for Bethesda because usually their collector's editions are grade A, but Skyrim's was a huge letdown.

game's not even out yet
what do french people know about games anyway
Different story, different campaign, and new zombies maps.
WOW! A different story for $60? I can buy 2 Twilight books with that money and get more entertainment.
I own Black Ops, and played MW1 and MW2. Trust me - they're selling overprices expansion packs.
Valve uses a similar technique with TF2 - selling items for real money, and getting suckers who get sexual pleasure from possessing virtual items (me) to buy them.
game's not even out yet

I can so believe they're going to give the game as much content as the elder scrolls.
Trust me
give me one good reason to
You can also replace "3" with "2", shit's the fucking same anyway
You want a good example of simple sequel ? BIOSHOCK 2. The setting is the same, the gameplay is globally the same, and yet so much has changed. The places are actually visually and design-wise different, drastically new gameplay elements have been brought (weapon/plasmid real time wielding instead of separate modes), the story is still as good but totally different, more moral implication because this time the sisters trust you and you have a role of protection you can deny, new fun additions (multiplayer), still some quality content.
You want a good example of terrible sequel ? MODERN WARFARE 2. The setting is the exact same, the gameplay is the exact same, nothing has changed. The places look exactly like what I've already been through, the gameplay hasn't changed for shit and just features more eyecandy crap I didn't need and makes the game unbalanced, the story is shittier, even more filled with bullshit and shorter with even less implication with your own character because you keep changing without any development at all, no fun additions (kiss my ass kill streaks, at least they were balanced in MW1), no quality content, no redeemable quality. Window dressing at its best.
I can so believe they're going to give the game as much content as the elder scrolls.
this is why you are on the internet and don't work for a gaming company.
how the fuck could you translate a open-world game to modern warfare in terms of content?
who the fuck even wants that? 95% of people just want an updated version of a game they really like to play.
You can also replace "3" with "2", shit's the fucking same anyway
on such a shallow level any game could be made to look the same. it's a stupid argument.
Well make the gameplay deeper then. Oh wait, no that won't happen, BECAUSE PEOPLE KEEP BUYING A GAME THAT'S TOTALLY SHALLOW IN ALL POSSIBLE WAYS. Why the hell would we get new interesting games with deep gameplay and interesting stories where there's a shitload of sheeps buying always the same game over and over AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER ? No developer will ever try anything new if they can just copy the previous game, add 2 new weapons, a story that could hold on a toothpick and put less effort into it than the previous one, sell it full priced and get buckets of money lick that.
"people don't want what i want ergo they are sheep admire my large brain and penii"
gameplay deeper how exactly, games don't get better just by piling more shit in
and also you should probably remove your caps lock key with a screwdriver FOR THE SAKE OF ALL OF US!
Let's take a quick look on how game series have changed over the years:
Valve:
Half-Life 1 (1997) - Astonished gamers and critics alike.
Half-Life 2 (2004) - Completely revolutionized the gaming industry.
Half-Life 2: Episode 1 (2006) - Great expansion - Moderately cheap, slightly improved engine.
Half-Life 2: Episode 2 (2007) - Amazing expansion - Moderately cheap, greatly refined engine. (Worth the weight *trollface*)
Half-Life 2: Episode 3 (20--) - People can only imagine how perfected this game will be - Valve is taking their sweet time making possibly the greatest game of all time.
Rockstar Games:
GTA 3 (2001) - Very good game, very addictive and fun.
GTA 4 (2008) - New engines (perfect combo: Euphoria and Havok), and pleasing graphics.
Activision/infinity Ward/Treyarch:
Call of Duty (2003) - Very cool FPS game. Fun mechanics.
Call of Duty 2 (2005) - Better than the previous, still fun.
Call of Duty 3 (2006) - Kinda similar, slightly fun.
Call of Duty 4: MW (2007) - Improvement, same mechanics, getting boring.
Call of Duty: WaW (2008) - Ok, slow down with the releases, the games are very similar.
Call of Duty: MW2 (2009) - Guys, seriously, slow down.
Call of Duty: Black Ops (2010) - Not fun anymore.
Call of Duty: MW3 (2011) - Facepalm.
*I might have not been able to precisely say at which points in the series the games became boring, but it all went down to the same point anyway.*
Edit: This is what happens when you have a lot of time on your hands and you get immersed in an argument, trying to prove your point.

Dunno about Call of Duty 4. That was a big change over playing Call of Duty and Call of Duty2.

imo, GTA4 was shit compared to SA because it took the serious approach and it was boring. thank god Saints took it's place with adding all the cheats and outrageous stuff.

not that GTA4 was a bad game, it just felt like it wasn't GTA.

oh ok, yeah it did and thats a good point. but im saying its like they took all the fun out of it and i hope they go back to the old ways with the new technology. hell if they just remade SA with GTA4's engine, i would buy it.
[editline]18th September 2011[/editline]
oh and EP3 is fake. it is HL3 now.
Honestly I lost the appeal for Call of Duty after BLOPS. BLOPS was pretty good, as they finally decided to change a few gameplay mechanics, however the base game basically remained the same. MW3 looks like they took out all of the interesting features from BLOPS and just made another COD4/MW2 clone. It's enough Activision, even if tons of cash still spurts from it, stop beating a dead horse.

Goddamn, calm the hell down.
People can do whatever they want with their money.
And don't call people sheeps for buying popular stuff. That pretty much makes you a huge "I'm-not-a-conformist" asshole.
