It's possible, but you would have to live in the middle of nowhere. You definitely couldn't do it in any major urban area. My house cost $500,000.00 USD, and that doesn't include stuff like property tax, insurance, interest on the mortgage, etcetera.

With the cost of living steadily rising I fail to see how anyone thinks they could live on $1 million for the rest of their life, unless they shot themselves when the money was gone. :v: But yeah, there's probably only one wealthy businessman who was ever as decent as Gates is: Sam Walton. Yeah, he was a wealthy fuck, and while I'm not sure how much he donated, if anything, but he lived [I]comfortably[/I], not [I]lavishly[/I]. You hear about basketball players with houses that have 12 kitchens in them, 12 KITCHENS! Sam Walton drove a beat-up pick-up truck until the day he died.
