I do. I use it mostly to play old video games though.

I use the Homebrew Channel to do a lot so yes.
the wii u's online is so much better it's like comparing talking through two cans and a string to a skype call.
Plastered with adverts and a backdoor for Microsoft to perv on you with?
~snip~
Oh, you motherfucker!
I thought it was bad with shutting down Monster Hunter Trii. But this too? Welp I guess you don't want people playing Wii at all Nintendo.
They're just shutting down WiiConnect24 services. Online play is unaffected unless the people hosting those servers themselves shut their own servers down. Capcom shut down MH3's servers on their own.

2013, 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009 (And possibly 2008, I don't remember when we got it but it was near 2010).
I used it this year so I could play Majora's Mask, I didn't have a controller for the Wii-U (Till I bought one). I used it in 2012 when I got Skyward Sword since I didn't own a Wii-U then, infact it wasn't even out. I ain't listing every year, it is just an example that people still use it.
This doesn't bother me much
I still use my Wii, but usually for homebrew crap or playing my Gamecube games
Nintendo needs to be next to shutdown
why?
I mean, I'm actually curious why you would want that.
They're just cutting off useless channels. None of them ever got any use.
Kind of a shame, the weather and news channels were quite nice to look at, I dont get why their shutting down the weather and news channels though, I thought they downloaded the stuff of websites?

similar for weather
LZMA'd of news reports
We only use our Wii to view Netflix on.
As long as Monster Hunter 3 isn't touched

The servers for that are going down at the end of the month or so. That's not Nintendo's call though.

You can still play Animal Crossing (and basically every other Nintendo released game with online play)
MHTri's servers are going down at the end of this month, but MHTri's server shutdown is completely unrelated with Nintendo shutting off Wiiconnect24 services which are basically the services used for downloading things while the system is off. (Weather/News Info, Nintendo Channel things, Wii Message board messages, sharing Miis, etc.)
MHTri's servers shutting down can be blamed on Capcom, not Nintendo.
