Canadians everywhere weep: Kraft Dinner to remove artificial colouring from macaroni and cheese.
I'd rather have your typical beige-cream coloured cheese sauce, than the bright yellow stuff they have on Kraft dinner.
Also find it weird how American ice cream is pure white, rather than yellow.
Its not supposed to be pure white. The GOOD vanilla ice-cream is that off-yellow.
To be honest I like that extremely yellow cheddar powder shit in American Kraft mac n cheese over homemade.
I really like the sweet deathly taste.
I like both Kraft and homemade.
Sometimes you just want that delicious cheap taste.
For some reason fluorescent yellow cheese is less appealing to me than the natural color.
So all the same other ingredients, but without the colorings..... You have got to be shitting me.
Do people not realize that the amount of these chemicals that you have to consume to have negative effects would be too large for the average consumer? You would most likely have to eat nothing but Kraft Mac n cheese for all meals everyday for years to see any effect, if you see any at all.
I could understand Kraft selling a new version along side the "classic" one (hell, look at velveeta's while grain rotini and cheese), but a full replacement is dumb and consumers just won't buy it anymore. Plenty of other brands to choose from.
Tartrazine appears safe and very few people have adverse reactions to it but of all the dyes it's the one that seems to have the most adverse reactions. They've already removed it in the European version and I haven't heard any complaints about the taste there.
Oh quit crying you picky bastards, its a fucking color on some noodles. Boo hoo.
To be honest it sucks that there's no stuff like this in the Netherlands. It would seem really damn tasty for me.
Also, why Am I typing fucking blind here?

Also, there's the point that you wouldn't be putting cheap ingredients like sodium phosphate, Sunset Yellow FCF and Tartrazine in your own food. The people who put it in there don't give a fuck about your health and what you put in your body.
You'd probably be putting something like turmeric in it for coloring if you were making it for yourself.
