So guy swings sword at cop
Didn't happen.
starts to runs away cop shoots him in fear of him attacking someone who gets in his way
There was no one even around for him to attack where he was running, not to mention it wasn't a real sword.
sounds like justifiable use of force in my opinion. As he was a threat and they can't take the chance he would have swung at someone else. Its like shooting at someone, and running away. Just because you're running does not make you any less of a threat. You just tried to kill someone.
This is extremely stupid on many levels because he never attempted to kill anyone.
also he was black that probably didn't help steps to not get shot by cops: 1) be white if 1 fails, try step 1a 1a) do not carry a giant fuckoff sword 1b) don't be black
I can't tell, are you racist, or just hate cops, which is it?
This is extremely stupid on many levels because he never attempted to kill anyone.
That video showed basically nothing, at best it showed the police chasing after someone; no context as to what happened before, or after. No context as to why the police were chasing the person, or why the person was running.
There was no one even around for him to attack where he was running, not to mention it wasn't a real sword.
Idk about you but this looks pretty real to me... I mean, clearly a low quality knock-off with a stamped blade and not a real Japanese made Katana, probably not even that sharp but its still a weapon.
Why no peep about a black cop killing an unarmed white man? Why do we only hear the reverse? http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2014/sep/3/justice-dillon-taylor-after-white-utah-man-fatally/
Can't shoot him in the leg and restrain him? These aren't exactly amateurs.
no, but you might be [editline]9th December 2014[/editline]
Some police depts dont even issue tasers lol
tasers are heavy, expensive, and don't work half the time [editline]9th December 2014[/editline]
American police :D how about stop fucking shootin when the first bullet hits? Americans are disgusting when they try to defend their shit police.
the general rule is one bullet is execution, 2-3 is training, and any more than that and the shooter was panicking. most people panic when shooting people.

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2014/sep/3/justice-dillon-taylor-after-white-utah-man-fatally/
because double standard. lot's of people still believe that "oh because i'm black/asian/hispanic/etc. i can't be racist. only white people are racists."
This is extremely stupid on many levels because he never attempted to kill anyone.
And as proof of this, here is a video with no audio that doesn't show anything at all except the police trailing a man with a sword, a woman pointing somewhere in apparently concern for the police to run, and the man running away from armed police. I can't stress enough how absolutely stupid it is to think the man did nothing wrong when he's running away from police. If we live in some society where ignoring officers of the law and running away is a reasonable thing for an innocent person to do, then I don't know what to tell you. Nobody knows exactly what happened. The police felt a need to get him to stop and listen to them, he may or may not have done something threatening, and he responded by running away as fast as he can in a public place with a large sword. Was killing him needed? Perhaps not. But this tragedy happened purely because that man committed a crime. The crime was either threatening innocent lives with a weapon, or refusing to comply to commands from a police officer and running from them... with a weapon. You can't possibly make him out to be innocent. Whether or not he was a criminal or an idiot is irrelevant. The police panicked and responded in the only way they could to prevent the risk of another civilian being injured by the man. I'm getting annoyed by people screaming about racist or murderous police and using stupid cases of people breaking the law as proof.
Lmao @ the: 'Well this dude was suspicious he had a sword!" You all know that Utah allows open carry right? Open carry without a permit. Why is there an immediete rush to defend police officers in situations like this on these forums? Facepunch really showing its true colors in these discussions

Why carrying a real sword in public? Why not stop and say to the officer that your sword is real, and that you mean no harm? Why did he run from the officers in the first place? God damn so many innocent lives are being taken for just stupid things such as fake or dulled weapons that look hyper realistic. Another life taken because of misunderstanding and lack of communication.
