He said voters at the election, due to be held by next June, would have the "biggest choice for a generation". He said Labour would call a referendum on electoral reform and offer more free childcare for poorer families funded by axing better-off parents' tax breaks. The opposition parties said the speech was "tired" and "lacked vision". The prime minister spoke for just under an hour, ending with an attempt to boost the morale of party members shaken by polls suggesting they are heading for a massive defeat, telling them New Labour was "not done yet". He urged activists to "dream big dreams and watch our country soar" and "reach inside ourselves for the strength of our convictions" and to "fight" for victory - earning a standing ovation in the hall. In a repeat of last year, Mr Brown was introduced to delegates by wife Sarah, who delivered a tribute to her husband, telling delegates he was "no saint" but they had "been together through some tough times, and some great times, and we will be together forever". And she added: "I know he loves his country and I know he will always, always put you first." My reaction to this: Labour stands no chance.
Gordon Brown is off to save the world. Oh, wait, he already did.
"Yes you are" insists British public.

Labour is a good party in principal but they're so shit right now with all these wankers.
Another eloquent post from radioactive
If I was drunk that post would of been 10 times longer.
Labour are out, Conservatives are going to be in.
Labour are out, Conservatives are going to be in.
Then the Labour will get in again because the Conservatives will have to tax people lots of money to fix the country, and then Labour will undo all their hard work. Repeat. Then in about 50 years the Lib Dems will get in.
I like Labour, and I like Brown. I'd vote for him if I was just a little older.

The Conservatives will win the next election, everybody will think it's great for a while - but then they'll realise that we're just as fucked as we are now. I'd really like the Lib Dems to win, but that's never going to fucking happen.
Hurf durf Gordont Brawn can go sukk ma choade
Labour are out, Conservatives are going to be in.
Labour are out, Labour are going to be in is what you were meaning to say.
I'll be voting in support of brown next may when I'm old enough.
Why would you want to vote for Gordon Brown?
Why would you want to vote for Gordon Brown?
I like him.
I'm voting for Labour.
You're quite the joker aren't you?
You're quite the joker aren't you?
That or i won't vote, government is currently a lame system anyway, all they fucking do is pick flaws in each others speaches, it's fucking pathetic. Watching the politics show ruined my idea of how government should work, it's a joke.
You're quite the joker aren't you?
stop changing your avatar, it's tricking me into thinking you're someone else and taking you seriously
stop changing your avatar, it's tricking me into thinking you're someone else and taking you seriously
Sorry, let me confirm me non-seriousness. You can't get more than 100%.
I thought that speech was actually really good. If I were 18, I'd vote for him.
