• Marijuana Users Are Safer Drivers Than Non-Marijuana Users, New Study Shows
Cool a site is reporting a summary of information that another website summarized from other articles. Then if you actually read into the studies the statistics do not back up what the initial site says. A bunch of stretched truths from lack if data analysis. Plus they try to insinuate that driving high is safer than not driving high, which is absolutely ridiculous and not the point of the studies at all, which were meant to show it was safer than driving drunk. Pretty much everything about this is sensationalist BS
You'd better watch out, punk, I'm the kind of guy that would back up his arguments with poorly done, biased studies that cite other studies that vaguely validate my opinions.
Out of curiosity, how many of you in the thread have driven high, besides the ones who already said so?
I haven't, but paranoia is why they are so safe they drive EXACTLY the speed limit because they don't want the cops pulling them over and try to drive as perfectly and exactly as they can.
Out of curiosity, how many of you in the thread have driven high, besides the ones who already said so?
Me. I did it many times, every time I would get so hungry and get fast food. There was never a problem. The only problem I ever had was going 25 in 35. I was wondering why that cop was tailing me.
4autoinsurancequote.com. Seems legit.
This sounds like one of the most flimsiest "studies" ever "conducted".
I personally hate driving stoned. I get paranoid about driving perfectly and had a couple close calls with going through red lights because I was too focused on whether or not I'm going EXACTLY the speed limit.
Just like how the decrease of pirates causes global warming
Pretty much this. Study is garbage from a shit source.
Just like how the decrease of pirates causes global warming
Cancer causes cellphones.
THC does impair your driving.. but not in one joint's worth. We're talking .9g worth to get impairment. Again, this isnt the same for all people much like alcohol http://blutube.policeone.com/police-news-videos/2178927914001-stoned-drivers-test-their-skills/
Figures, a cop isn't properly knowledgeable on the subject, it doesn't matter how much one smokes as it's up to the individual's tolerance to how much they can handle before they aren't ok to drive anymore. Similar but different to alcohol. [editline]7th June 2013[/editline]
Out of curiosity, how many of you in the thread have driven high, besides the ones who already said so?
Plenty of times, the one time I ever did get into a car accident, I hadn't smoked, so I guess the proof is in the pudding in my case.
Well, my states supreme court just said the same thing so..... http://jalopnik.com/michigan-supreme-court-says-medical-weed-users-can-toke-509283059
That is VERY different to what this study is saying.

It depends on the individual, I know people who if they were to drive stoned they would crash within minutes, and they've been smoking forever. Others however can get pretty baked and still drive better than most sober people on the road. This study is not a good indicator to show that smokers are better than non-smokers, I'm 100% positive it's the other way around.
anybody who drives a car anything other than sober is a fucking idiot.
I drive stoned everyday....never been in an accident.
Funny how every thread about weed being beneficial it's rated dumb yet one's about it being harmful is agreed with.
anybody who drives a car anything other than sober is a fucking idiot.
I am curious, to people who think this, what is your stance then on people who are prescribed other mental medications (specifically mood-altering ones) being behind the wheel of a vehicle? Do you believe it to be safer for a person who may possibly be vastly unpredictable, dissociative, or suicidal to be driving rather than someone who is a little stoned? I bring this up because there might be a bit of a double-standard existing here, I'm not necessarily saying it's any more or less dangerous. However mood-altering medications are something that some individuals apparently need on a regular basis day to day, so should it be decided that they can never drive? On a similar note, patients who actually have green cards may be using it to stifle pain, anxiety or depression, so why would it be safer for them to drive under one of those conditions? Should they also never drive?

A hazed up brain cannot process that information as well as a sober one
Yeah, the mentally-impairing drug totally makes you drive better. Definately. Drunk driving is even better, right? it impairs you even more.
Alcohol makes you black out and do insane shit like blow through a red light at 100 mph. With weed you stop and wait for stop signs to turn green.

For me I just lose anxiety left over from my time in the Army and feel a lot more comfortable. I also drive better and focus more when I'm baked.
