Not really news there either, even 3rd parties have been dealing with the same behavior.
See: the licensed game that were extensively micromanaged by people who literally either disliked or did not get the licenses.
stop making sonic games
port yakuza games to pc and port the 1+2 hd collection to ps3/4 and pc
pso2 with parity with the japanese version on launch (haha will never happen)
Honestly, the best Sonic game of 2014 wasn't even developed by Sega. Yeah, I'm talking about Freedom Planet, which technically did start out as a Sonic fan-game but evolved into its own thing and was pretty awesome.
Also, hopefully this means at least SOMETHING good for Creative Assembly, even though Sega's still a big old bastard for the illegal shit they pulled concerning YouTube and Shining Force. Ever wonder why TotalBiscuit has boycotted coverage on anything the company puts out? Look up that particular controversy, and you'll find out.
Why does everyone think sonic boom is bad? I haven't played any sonic games but from what I've seen in gameplay footage it looks like a rather fun platformer.

There are many things wrong with it, but the biggest offense is that it is more broken than Sonic 06.
Not to mention that the villain Whatshisface is rather forgettable. Which is kind of a trend, since while the franchise has Doctor Robotnik as a big bad in many games, recently he's been pushed to the sidelines to make way for entirely forgettable alien warlords and one-dimensional eldritch abominations.
Sonic Colours, on the other hand, stuck with Robotnik as the big bad and was better off for it storywise. Also it helped that it was just Sonic and Tails going on vacation rather than a whole bunch of other characters tagging along for the ride.
They should have just made more levels for generations as dlc. People would have eaten that up. Instead all they made was that one casino night minigame.
At least there's this.
i believe this is a good time to port daytona usa to pc

People overblew how bad it is out of proportion, but Sega of America tried hyping it up with ex-Naughty Dog devs as the next big Sonic game despite it being nothing more than a tie-in platformer on Cryengine. The end result was a mediocre game that's so unpolished, so bland that while some might get enjoyment out of it, most consider the game something that just doesn't really deserve the money. It's not even really a Sonic game, less so than Lost World, because it plays like your average beat-em-up action platformer. Even the speed sections are unwieldy with awful framerates and stiff controls. A large amount of the dev team was quietly laid off months before release, Cryengine didn't like the Wii U and broke a lot of things, all sorts of inane decisions and content cuts, the devs originally planned for the game to not even be a Sonic game or at best make it much more Crash Bandicoot-y and practically unrecognizable..
It's a mess, plain and simple. And it was all Sega of America's doing, so while the cartoon's okay, the games (the 3DS one is better but even more generic of a platformer, it just plays like a Sonic game at least and is a little more polished in comparison) were large flops that are probably largely responsible for this whole downsizing to begin with.
Shenmue 3 please
they need to focus more on games that were great, like Sonic & All stars racing - that shit was the tits. Only published by sega, but holy hell.. that's where sonic should be going
Fur Fighters 2 please
Sidelining the obnoxious amount of Micro Transactions would be a great start. As much as I like CoH2, that game is dragged through shit because of their £5 commanders. Skins would be fine but not the content that offers unique units and different play styles even if though they are not OP in any way.

Sonic 06 seems FUNCTIONAL compared to Boom. That should be ALL I have to say about it.
If SEGA ever goes under, i want Creative Assembly to go to a nice publisher that wont make them fuck up the Total War series.

*cough cough* Sonic Boom.
Not to hard seeing as they didn't make it, I just want Colours 2 already

Lost World was made by the Colors team, Generations by the Unleashed team with probably some carryovers from Colors. Although a lot of people didn't like Lost World, it's the closest you're gonna get unfortunately.

to be honest I'm not like 3 videos later in that series because it looks fucking hilarious
So how about adding to the 50-60 Sega Genesis and Dreamcast games on Steam and other digital distribution services with the other few hundred games from your consoles that you already own the rights to (and mostly created yourselves), Sega? Some arcade ports from the several dozen games you made for coin-ops would be grand as well.
They could probably release Shenmue and Shenmue 2 alone and get a ton of purchases. Heck, imagine how much they'd make if they released the Persona series on PC.
The problem with Nintendo buying Sonic is say goodbye to multi-platform. I was looking forward to more Sonic games coming to Steam.

Solution: Port EVERYTHING to PC.

I've play it, oh god is it horrible. It made me think Sonic 06 is good.

Indie, I hope, I don't trust publishers enough.
sonic 06 is still by far worse than boom, its just that its 9 years old now so no one remembers how shit it really is
Can we agree that both games are fucking shitty without resorting to a pissing content? Both games have no right to exist in their current states.
Port Unleashed to PC pls

Boom is a mediocre unpolished game that doesn't really deserve to be, as I mentioned above, but at least while '06 is unfinished garbage, I'm playing a terrible Sonic game when I'm not Silver, instead of a terrible licensed game. That's.. not really a positive, but still.
Give Sonic to Nintendo
I cant see Nintendo treating sonic that well.
They barely treat their own ips that well outside of Zelda, Mario and Pokemon.
If anything, if Nintendo owned Sonic, he'd be sitting on their shelf collecting dust with F-Zero, Metroid, Star Fox ect.

You realize Star Fox is getting a new game, they're trying new IPs, a new Fire Emblem game is on the way, and so forth and so forth?
