Lol at the Aussies.
Lol at your face.
TPG is a good Australian ISP. At the moment you can get 60gb+60gb for $120 per month. I have that and it's a great ISP
An ADSL2+ is $49.99 for 50gb On Peak and Off Peak! Thats pretty good for the price... But TPG has shit customer service!

They don't know how to spell Michael.... *Gasp* And they kept disconnecting our internet thinking it was someone else..... Pfft
Do I want to click that?
You can go ahead but I don't think Chris Hansen will be too happy. [editline]07:08AM[/editline]
Yeah true Gamers are to lazy and so am I, well lets stop holding each others tea cups and protect our Gmod, I mean internet and protest come on girls!
You sure as hell don't sound like a "real gamer", Mr. I-can-get-3-kills-in-Counter-Strike-that-makes-me-a-gamer. Also your last name is way too long.
Thank god i live in New Zealand
Well, time to start worshiping God Emperor Of Mankind Kevin Rudd. I guess I should probably cut off my balls now so I can become a monk and when the time comes get a 5kb internet connection for the two websites that will be allowed in Australia.
Fuck Australia! :fuckyou: Time to move to sweeden where the cool katz are.
Not if the stupid majority of society has it's way. "Oh free stimulus money yay! You've got my vote ruddy!"
Vote for bread and circuses, watch your nation fall like Rome. I'm officially keeping a tor link on my rigs from now on. Hop on AUS users, it's on me.
So wait, what does this all mean? Any aussie that looks up drugs or anything gets into shit?
So wait, what does this all mean? Any aussie that looks up drugs or anything gets into shit?
Nope, it's simply missing from the web.
Thank god i live in New Zealand
Aww chur bo' we gon get some fush and chups aye al' ?
Any other Australians wanna put some cash forward to start our own ISP? We can register as a business, then put an application into Telstra to rent some lines at the exchange, then charge a lower-than-average price for line rental (to our customers) and provide unfiltered services for a slight annual fee. Once we start to get a decent customer base (which we will attract with our cheap, uncensored services), we can begin to move the operation into more remote areas as part of the "National Broadband Network" that is currently being designed by the government. If all goes to plan, then we will have a thriving, multi-million dollar business by mid-2011.
Can I be the one getting most money out of your business idea? As in, the leader?
one step closer to loosing our internet freedom!:bang:
one step closer to losing our internet freedom!:bang:
Fixed! :engleft:
All your internets belong to Conroy
So wait, what does this all mean? Any aussie that looks up drugs or anything gets into shit?
Its just like what Split3ndz said, its missing just like if you type Free Tibet in China it won't open. Just like that except it will be R Rated content.
Did they have to make all the sites links on the leak wiki? i mean, seriously, I was freaking nervous when reading through, mostly because I was afraid to accidentally click the links. D:
If anybody knows what the worst internet providers are, they are Optus and Telstra. Neither of them actually provide good, cheap plans, and most of the time they just want to bullshit you and attach you to a 5 year contract which pretty much means you can't go off their plan until the contract expires.

i used to like australia, they're taking their internet related shit too far though.
i used to like australia, they're taking their internet related shit too far though.
I think someone has said this, but when this filter is truely online, everyone will start complaining.
yeh, i think i was speaking for everyone when i said that :p.
If the blocking is going to be done at the DNS level, then you should be able to get passed it by subscribing to a different DNS provider. I'm gonna try Google DNS. This is liking banning online game because "Online play may affect content". teh fuck.
There is going to be a protest on 31 JAN 2010 in every capital city, http://www.facebook.com/pages/STOP-MANDATORY-FILTERING-OF-AUSTRALIAN-INTERNET-Protest-Jan-31st-2010/202715479439?ref=mf&v=wall I'm definately going to it; and I advise every Australian that cares to get off their asses and go to it as well.

I get the feeling a lot of folk here have no idea how things actually work
Expert says X rated content not blocked CP will be blocked, but expert says it spreads through P2P and secret sites. 96% don't want it K. Rudd spending millions on faster internet for Australia, then impliments this Adult games will possibly be blocked too. Expert wants more funding for the feds to combat CP, and personal ones for each computer only to be more freely available. source: 7pm Project on Network 10 Australia No more GTA for me
I get the feeling a lot of folk here have no idea how things actually work
Well the Government's not being particularly transparent with a lot of aspects of this scheme.
