• China to US: Cut the defence budget, live within your means, stop letting politics take the global e

Don't even have to cut the defense budget by that much, just drop the tax breaks on the richest 2% for fucks sake, you know how much money that would bring in ? Know what else? Since the problem is only getting worse anyway, go ahead and give the 50 Million illegals citizenship and make them pay into taxes too. It wouldn't be fair to those waiting for a green card, but let's step back into reality guys. It's an actual viable solution to help our debt problem. They are here to stay anyway, might as well make them pay taxes
is there an argument there or do you just want to sling mud lol oh wait now i see it you realise chinese media is state-run, right. it's hardly an objective source of views and information, or are you so anti-west that you're willing to forget that?
Except the entire world is thinking what china is saying.
Except the entire world is thinking what china is saying.
And the republicans and their followers have jammed their index fingers into their ears, while saying LALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALA CAN'T HEAR YOU LALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALA
Look out of your window you dumbfuck. 20% of your population is under the poverty line while everyone's busy not giving a shit, bashing bibles and trying to crash the country. Your prisons are loaded with the same people you exploit and force into crime. Your education is actually still trying to figure out Evolution VS bible, An issue the rest of the Western world solved 50 years ago! A ton of people Vote with their ass during elections based on who's got the less arabic name, biggest bible and most Ignorant world view. A credible source wouldn't do shit because It'd be ignored even if it was crammed up their ass and ruptured their intestine causing massive assbleeds. The fact that up to 5% (sorry. I'm trying to be politically correct here. It seems closer to 35%) of your population has the educational level of an average Sudanese war-refugee is pretty shit. I mean, at least the refugees has the excuse of major shit going down while all YOU have is legal religious brainwashing and politics rivaling Paradise Hotel in rate of Stupid. No. Ok, fine. NOTHING'S WRONG. Last week was just Ancient Aliens and Democrat Socialist Satanist Niggers. Nothing to see here. U.S. did NOT just almost default!

Where the hell did you pull that statistic out your ass?
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, currently 14.3% (43 million) of the population lives in Absolute Poverty. 58.5% of Americans will spend at least 1 year in poverty. The Department of Education & Time Magazine find a 77% graduation rate from high school, one of the poorest in the developed world. However, the US has a ~99% literacy rate while the Sudan is at ~58%. Despite prolonged war, education for girls is still incredibly poor, and males require military service before they're allowed to complete their education (Up to university level). While the US has a poor record against Scandinavian and European countries, it's still incredibly high against impoverished nations and other developed nations. Just sayin'. But yeah, US needs to get it's shit together, it's falling behind. 77% pass for high school? Pretty despicable.

It's just that they're not mingling with the poor nations here. They're mingling and even manipulating the Western world, Trying to force their standards on us AND spread the message of "Human Rights" and "minimum living standards" all over the world. It's GREAT, but it's also MASSIVE hypocrisy to be demanding things from other nations that you haven't even got down yourself yet. I agree with the message, i just don't think the one delivering it is in any position to do so. But then the question of Diplomatic influence and military significance comes into play and we can't do shit because we need their young men dying for the cause because we ain't got the equipment ourselves. Maybe WE'RE the hypocrites... I dunno :psyduck: All i want is for everyone to be able to lead as good a life as I can. In america, it seems 43 million can't and no one gives a shit. That makes me sad, disappointed in humanity and Pissed at a system that values Greed and religion above a functional and equal society. You don't even want me to get started with Africa!

It's impossible that America will ever become a Utopia without massive social and political change, but looking back a hundred or two hundred years ago, America is a pretty chill place. I hated their policy of Containment during the cold war, but that's a long time ago and they've got a president that's not really interested in installing puppet governments and waging wars. Their problem is massive corporate involvement and system that rewards lobbyists - but America is also filled with good people, and leaders who are interested in Human Rights. They just don't always get their way or do it wrong, and we shouldn't hate or condemn an entire nation for trying and not doing very well. Hate the individuals in America who abuse and damage.

It might not, but it could. The fact that China is blowing the horn here should raise awareness and some people should wake up. No place on Earth is perfect. True. But there are better working nations than the U.S. in Northern Europe and if i may be so bold, i think that's what America should aim for purely because of the quality of it. It also seems to be what Obama was trying to move towards. Then republicans happened. I'm not being an Uber patriot here. I hate blind patriots, but we're the place in the world where life expectancy, income and life-quality is at the highest. I would love that for everyone.
i'll believe it when i see a more credible source than the chinese propaganda machine. perhaps something with a little authority on economics rather than a loyal heroic patriotic supporter of the working class and the struggle against the imperialist capitalist pig-dogs e: worth bearing in mind that US costs are higher also because they actually spend money on the general welfare of their citizenry
I don't really see what is there not to believe in an article that reports that China told the US something to do. It's not like one of these news reports in North Korea that say that their women football/soccer team was struck by lightning and it is why they lost.
Okay, that's cool, so I have a challenge for you - Tell me what they could be subjective about in terms of the actual thing that was reported.
They present things with a huge pro-PRC slant. That being said, I wouldn't disagree with Fox News if they said the sky was blue (I'm not a republican politician).
I never could quite understand why the defense and military budget aren't "trimmed" in the sense that it actually makes an impact. I asked my grandfather about this once, and he had the idea that if even a penny was taken, we would be invaded or defeated somehow. I hope he wasn't serious.
Regardless of China's human rights violations or any of the other shit that's wrong with their country, they've certainly laid out our problems quite nicely. The U.S. government needs a wake-up call. Petty bickering when the world economy is at stake is irresponsible.

Hopefully the EU emerges as a Superpower, i think they would handle some situations better/worse then a single country due to different idea's. Just beacuse an equivalent of a republican controls one country, doesn't mean the Whole Eu is now republican.
argument or gtfo
That's what we've been saying to you the whole goddamn time. Yet you refuse to do so.
placing an undue emphasis on america's economical effects on the rest of the world presenting an exaggerated negative view of the american economic situation
First off, they never said anything about the state of the economy, only its influence. And America IS a negative influence on the world.
how can you not understand that - oh wait it doesn't fit with your anti-west worldview. i'm sorry reality disagrees with you, amute, but someday you're going to have to accept the fact that PEOPLE LIE
They gave something called an opinion, and opinions are only wrong when faced with facts or quote mining. You're blowing smoke for a VERY simple concept. So instead of me just making references, it's pretty glaringly obvious you are too braindead to understand this very basic and easy concept. Okay, now are you following, I will make this very easy for you child: This is an editorial, the source is providing its opinion. OPINION, do you know how to say opinion? You in turn said we cannot trust the news source and they may be misconstruing facts of what china said. If this news source said the sky was blue, does that mean the source is more or less biased? No. Does it make it right on this situation? Yes. Does it make it neutral? Yes. Nobody, at all, is saying the news source is unbiased. No one is saying this news source is factually accurate all the time. Most people are just agreeing with this particular statement. If the news source released ANOTHER opinion article and said Hitler was a dickhole, yeah, most people would agree with that. Does it make the news source ALWAYS true? No, just makes them true on this story in particular. I cannot believe I have to explain this to you in this much detail. Normal human beings should be able to grasp this enough. Do people lie? All the fucking time, yeah - Okay, that's cool, it really is, so where the FUCK are they lying now? [editline]9th August 2011[/editline]
argument or gtfo
Bit ironic coming from you, boyo.
