S&BOX is a great idea on paper
but it may cause people to freak because of all of the addons needed to be made for this new platform but its still a great project for facepunch to be working on
my ideas are pretty simple things that needs to be added in if not already
-Water Physics
-Assets from other facepunch games (Rust weapons playermodels rust legacy weapons playermodels etc.)
-commands to customize gui/viewmodels/fov
-being able to make addons right away (a dumb request but still)
and make the game run as best as can be

I wish to see better NPC in S&Box
Considering UE4 supports maps that are much larger than source, I'm hoping that there will be some maps that support some different elements than we are used to, for example, I think it would be really cool to have a map with the usual ground level, but then you could potentially travel downwards into the sea or even up into a space area, obviously it's easier said than done but just an idea.
Huge maps and shit, the works.

Why no DarkRP? What do people have against DarkRP? It used to be really good because the youtubers swarmed the kids onto it.
You're right actually. I think I don't dislike DarkRP, but I dislike how it's this primarily played gamemode on Gmod, when many other unique gamemodes exist but aren''t played and the fact that DarkRP communities are usually cancer.
Play it like gmod! Build box forts then shoot each other with guns "Generously borrowed" from other games!

Never done mapping before but I love the look of S&box's map creator so I think I'm definitely going for this. Can't wait to give it a go, presuming S&box does release.

I'm planning to pay someone to develop an HL2RP gamemode for S&Box. If I could, I'd get started on it right now too.
Pay someone? This game is like a clean slate, there is nothing right away to compete with. Start learning some basic C# now. This is the perfect opportunity to learn right here by creating something.
I plan to wait 5 years after release so the community knows how everything works so I can just easily google it instead of finding out myself.
You ever heard of a mod for Doom 2 called "Maps of Chaos"? It's a map pack based on vanilla Doom 2's levels that changes them up to be longer, harder and slightly more complex.
I'd might try something like that with Half-Life 2 and it's episodes.

Getting some people together who are also hype about S&Box to recreate StarWars RP there but with better everything.
Try (and most definitely fail) to make an Unreal Tournament Gamemode.
I will (finally) master the art of 3D map design and make a lot of prototypes (hopefully).
Otherwise I can be an ideas guy.
I'm gonna build a wall.
Mapping more, mapping in Unreal is going to be insane compared the source. So many limitations gone.
To prepare for S&Box, I'm going to learn C#.
Port so much WoW junk into S&B. Maybe get the full Stormwind with Elwynn Forest included. There's not really an easy way of getting even stormwind to Garry's Mod right now, and because UE4 basically accepts models as map meshes with collision, it will be ez to do (on paper at least)
