Killing (or better - raiding someone, online or offline) should not be easy. It should be difficult and should tkae skill. Attackers should also loose stuff and the defender should be able to take it, even if offline (look up "autolooter" in Roadmap).
The problem is - they need to balance offline raiding...and raiding in general. But more so - offline raiding.
Maybe even add raid protection timers. Conan Exiles and Eve Online have "vulnerability timers" in the game.

On the other hand adding 10x more animals is not realistic - and they are clearly going for a more realistic game...
so I mean, you can do this on a modded server... Rust is going towards a way of being more realistic. More realistic = better. Why? I don't know, I think there is a whole niche for realistic games, as many games are way too "surreal" as it is, and there is way too many "surreal" games out on the market, therefore realistic games are considered more creative and thus better. (i.e capturing realism is harder then making a cartoonish, or surreal game)
