OK so everybody knows how annoying it is during night time. Yea moon phases are a good addition, but most of the time it needs change.
For example the pitch dark part, where it's easier for some people to see long distance better than close distance is shit. I get snipe bolted in a pitch dark night, and i can also see the person shooting, but i can't see the stone i'm tripping at right next to me.
So my suggestion is:
Why don't you change that to be able to see in a certain radius around you (moon or not) like 1m or something in front of you. And not be able to see anything in a further distance. (Kind of like real life and darkness, You see around you and nothing in the distance unless there is some light)
Once upon a Rust midnight dreary, while I pondered weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of blueprint forgotten lore,
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my base door.
`'Tis some visiting door camper,' I muttered, `tapping at my base door -
Only this, and nothing more.'
Yes its annoying but its also very functional. It will never be changed so get used to it. Great time to find online bases, run loot between bases and to door camp your rich neighbors.
