Wow this is a sad thing to read the second after you find out about the game. Gives me a bleak view of pety community.
Now maybe there is an underlying thing I am missing that has made everyone so mad. The only thing I can assume is what you said "He wants a key blahblahblah" Which makes no sense what so ever. He has explicitly stated he has one and does not want one. (Even if it's a lie who is going to give a key to someone who says "I don't want a key")
All this man has done has created a hub to give this game even more exposure (Guess how I find out about the game...) Even if his intentions were malicious who cares? The end result is going to be more exposure for the game and no benefit to him.
Trying to help the game = Exposure, No personal benefit
Trying to get a key = Exposure, No personal benefit
Trying to get a cookie for doing it = Exposure, No personal benefit

I agree the beggars and attention seekers are kind of annoying, as you've probably seen I throw out a lot of ideas for Rust, now my ideas aren't the best but at least I'm actually giving suggestions on how to improve the game, and as you've probably also seen these type of threads are quickly pushed off the front page usually before anyone can see it. I honestly think a way this can be fixed and more effective is if there was a Rust forum that only alpha testers could start threads that others could still comment in but not start a thread. I just realized I threw an idea at you when it had nothing to do with what you said, oh well haha
