Rust++ will stop at 1.5.4 Magma will take over, it will be the same for your guys at the end, except that you will be able to use plugins and modify the engine by your own.
When you gonna release the magma ?
The new Rust patch caused A LOT (I mean it) of internal changes, so no for now Rust++ 1.5.4 is broken.
So servers that exclusively relied on Rust++ now have to wait for Magma to be released? Any ETA?
Be patient guys, it is coming very soon, soon enough for them to not bother with fixing Rust++ if that gives you an idea.
Just an FYI, you might want to add a virtualhost or redirect for http://www.gomagma.org as well because at the moment it just 404's, could be confusing if someone types in:
www.gomagma.org
instead of
gomagma.org
in their browser.
Will magma be available on fpsplayers.com, right ?

I will tell them though. As for Magma, it will be available for all GSP who supported Rust++
If i understand it right, u mean if i was able to install the Rust++ Mod on my Server i can install this Magma Mod on my Server?? And a new update for Rust++ will not happend?
I think he is saying Rust++ will be baked in Magma by default
Alright let's clarify this point. In the 'Real' Magma version Rust++ will be ran by the API as a Javascript plugin. So people will be able to run Rust++.js, edit it, etc. We will also split Rust++ into different plugins to offer the possibilty to only runs the mods you want. SO : You will be able to use the entire Rust++.js to run the mod like before, or use the small sub-plugins by choosing the functions you want etc. BUT : This is planned for the 'Real' release, in its current state Magma is really powerfull, stable and cool :) (My little baby :D:D:D:D), but we didn't have the time to complete the transition from the old Rust++ to Javascript. So we had a problem, because we wanted to release an alpha soon, so people could test and give us feedback, but that would mean no Rust++ for these people (Magma wont run with the old Rust++). Result -> We decided to migrate Rust++ into the actual Magma build (C# code) and make it run on it this way, of course you are free to disable it and only run Magma with your own plugins, but it is the workaround for now. It wont affect the stability don't worry. I am making the old Rust++ code fit the new Magma structure which was rewritted entirely and trust me it is way better like this !

The most importantly thing is, i hope i can install magma on my server! like i do it with the Rust++! i liked Rust++ :-( it was very easy to handle with it

Don't east me with these blank messages. :-( I shall now go to bed, magma'less, full of tears, and hoping it's up in the morning.
Can we just call Magma, Rust+++ instead?
Alright so Magma is ready, but I need access to a FTP to host Magma's updater files and BMRF and HFB (Our supporter) are offline (it's the night).. so I can't really do much here except to wait for the day to arrive.

Or does it have to be FTP?
all good, we got access to our FTP so just testing final stages of the auto updater (which is built into magma and auto updates upon starting the server).

Or are you waiting to release it to the masses (all GSPs) with hosting that was provided to you by a single GSP?

I have just updated the homepage at gomagma.org to be more accurate.
They said they were doing last minutes tests on it, making sure the auto updater works. You derpaholic. [editline]26th February 2014[/editline] it still says Uploaded: 2014-01-29 19:04:40 on the download. -_-
nope, will be released publicly for everyone and any GSP to use! I have just updated the homepage at gomagma.org to be more accurate.
<3 Keep up the good work! You guys are literally MAKING this game for many people right now. Without everything you've done thus far, many people would have quit playing until things were more balanced or functional. Thank you!
So, send me a PM as soon as they are back from sleeping .. here on Germany it is 9 in the morning, my customers on DeinServerHost are all waiting for Magma
So, send me a PM as soon as they are back from sleeping .. here on Germany it is 9 in the morning, my customers on DeinServerHost are all waiting for Magma
Mine Provider is DeinServerHost too!!! how can i find a list of the features of magma??
edit what i just said. RUST++ has been built into Magma for awhile until we port the entire thing to a javascript plugin. so, installing Magma will come with the full RUST++!
all good, we got access to our FTP so just testing final stages of the auto updater (which is built into magma and auto updates upon starting the server).
I visit this site www.gomagma.org and it looks very difficult. must i create every plugin by myself or is it something like Rust++ with given commands like: /announce <message> (FLAG: CanAnnounce) - broadcasts a notice to the server /give "player" "itemname" "amount" (FLAG: CanGiveItem) - gives a player an item /i "itemname" "amount" (FLAG: CanGiveItem) - gives yourself an item /instako (FLAG: CanInstaKO) - enables instant knockout mode for your self (all structures will be knocked down in 1 hit), great with an Uber Bow! /kill <playername (FLAG: CanKill) - kills a player /loadout (FLAG: CanLoadout) allows the player to spawn an admin loadout configured in the cfg file. /reload (FLAG: CanReload) - reloads the data from the config files /saveall (FLAG: CanSaveAll) - saves all the data on the server /tphere <playername> (FLAG: CanTeleport) - teleports a player to you /tpto <playername> (FLAG: CanTeleport) - teleports you to a player /god (FLAG: CanGodMode) - enables god mode so you can't die from a player -------- Security ------- /ban <playername> (FLAG: CanBan) - bans a player from the server /unban <playername> (FLAG: CanUnban) - unbans a player from the server /kick <playername> (FLAG: CanKick) - kicks a player from the server /mute <playername> (FLAG: CanMute) - mutes a player /unmute <playername> (FLAG: CanUnmute) - unmutes a player /addwl <playername> (FLAG: CanWhiteList) - adds a player to the whitelist (if whitelist mode is enabled) ------- Admin System --------- /setmasteradmin (FLAG: RCON) - sets a user logged in as RCON, as a master admin (which can do anything) /addadmin <playername> (FLAG: CanAddAdmin) - turns a normal player into an admin (with no flags set) /unadmin <playername> (FLAG: CanDeleteAdmin) - turns an admin into a normal player /addflag "playername" "flagName" (FLAG: CanAddFlags) - adds a flag to an admin /unflag "playername" "flagname" (FLAG: CanUnflag) - removes a certain flag from an admin /getflags <playername> (FLAG: CanGetFlags) - shows the flags a player can use And a given configuration file... or i have create every thing by myself?? Mhmmm i hat english :D i will understand it all much better in german :D
Porphyr, RUST++ will be built into Magma.. you can install Magma and leave it, and rust++ will be fine! you have the option with Magma to add scripts and make them..
must i create every plugin by myself or is it something like Rust++ with given commands
No, you will not have to create everything yourself. Magma will come with all of Rust++'s functionality, and you will be able to add other plugins also. You can either create these plugins yourself (if you know how), or use plugins created by other people.
edit what i just said. RUST++ has been built into Magma for awhile until we port the entire thing to a javascript plugin. so, installing Magma will come with the full RUST++!
ok, this i have understood :D
When are you planning on posting the documentation, API information, and things like that?
Porphyr, RUST++ will be built into Magma.. you can install Magma and leave it, and rust++ will be fine! you have the option with Magma to add scripts and make them..
Okay, sorry for my stupid questions but sometimes is that not so easy for my to understand that all (in english) :-P sry guys
When are you planning on posting the documentation, API information, and things like that?
going to build it as we go! trying to put out as many scripts and examples as possible for now. i have just changed around some things here: http://gomagma.org/community/index.php?action=downloads
