I am not 100% sure, but I believe that when you save the server, it does not save the mods files thus it gets refreshed when the server restarts.
/saveall and rustpp.shutdown should be saving anything related to Rust++. The console command save.all only saves Rust related files.
Hey does Rust++ work with the new update that hit today?
no it doesnt, and i didn't save anthing and my server is just like before.
no.. we need UPDATE !
Does not work - confirmed, you cannot join the server if rust++ is installed
Yeah, i didn't save anything and it still has all the stuff in it. just none of the mod stuff
It appears to be a leather loader issue... trying to confirm.
Doesn't your GSP have to re-cook the maindata file for leather to work with new updates?
Yeah, i didn't save anything and it still has all the stuff in it. just none of the mod stuff
No idea what you just said, I uninstalled rust++/leather and removed the rustpp folder (after backing it up) then redownloaded the steam update so the modified .dll file was gone and started up the server vanilla - if the game has the modified .dll file or rust++ then nobody can connect
I didn't do any of that. Just shutdown. Updated Steam, then started up. No one can join prob because they're clients are not updated .

If you are running any mods on the server, the problem lies there. I, like nm156, am trying to confirm whether its the Rust++ files that need a brief fix, (like last patch) or if it is a problem with Leather Loader.
no.. we need UPDATE !
dont be a douche canoe.....they do this on the side for nothing.....just stop already.
Rust++ is working on our server at EverRust.com; we had to run the steam update and then patch Furnace and RUST++
I feel sorry for xEnt22 and EquiFox17; they have to listen to these vultures whine continuously.
No one reads any more.
Listen, Rust++ is down... you should expect it to be down since there was another patch to the Alpha.
When a game is an alpha, it will be patched often and the mod will go down just as often.
As the developers of this mod have to work on it AFTER the alpha is updated, they can't *snap* their fingers and make the mod usable with the latest patch.
So please, people... get your heads out of your asses. Give these guys a break. They're working on something that they're getting absolutely nothing from except our satisfaction.
Server operators, this is simple:
*Save server configuration files and last save of the game, along with any mod config/saves.
*Shut the server down.
*Uninstall Rust++.
*Uninstall LeatherLoader.
*Delete the Rust folder and all of the information in it (hence, the backups)
*Patch the server through Steam.
*Check config files for changes.
*Restart the server.
*Await the next Rust++ patch.
Some of you guys act like this is rocket science. Chill out.

Rust++ is not broken, people are just improperly patching! EverRust supports the work of the Rust++ dev team.

Didn't say it was broken, I said it was down.
As in it or a part of it's subsystem is not working under normal circumstances.

Who is your GSP? Some of us don't have permissions to update Furnace on our own with our GSP.
EverRust.com has just made the transition from HFB to Nitrous Networks.
EverRust.com has just made the transition from HFB to Nitrous Networks.
Craftboom.co.uk also moved from HFB to Nitrous Networks after just 3 hours of being with HFB.
why is hfb so bad? just curious
Nobody can join if you have rust++ installed
I currently have 15 people in the server. When i go to mods it still shows Rust++ and Leather installed.

Like I said before and B1NaRy confirmed, this is a matter of GSPs needing to re-bake the maindata for leather to work.
Edit: xEnt confirmed this 3 days ago...
Thanks for being patient guys, when an update like this happens it's up to the GSP's to repatch the dll themselves and put up the new zip in the mod manager, this is out of our control.
They claim to have 24/7 support.
If I'm right we were waiting 7+ hours at least for a response and the matter still hasn't been resolved after 2 days.

Odd, I made a ticket regarding Rust++ about 25 minuttes ago, they replied 18 minuttes after I made the ticket.

Mind telling us what they said so we don't all open tickets and gum up the works?
Yep, we're using HFBservers hosting.
We're not happy about it, but we still use it :/
