I'm just wondering if the kill announcer will work. That is the best thing ever. I wish it would show how much HP the person that did the killing had when it announced.
I want announcements on Bow kills. I will be feared everywhere with Rust++ addons...

That and for people who bleed out. We had a custom event going on the other day, where someone bled out, and we thought the event was still going for like 5 minutes lol.
Announcements working on HFB then?
Still a few things to finish on 1.5 but work is still progressing. Im trully sorry about that situation guys I like your support honestly it is what makes me continue. Rust++ 1.5 will not require Leather anymore.
Also I have made a new bulletproof system. From now Rust++ will load even if something went wrong, and try to call the custom functions anyway, if it fails to call the custom functions we created, it will run the default Rust behaviour. Example : Doorsharing breaks with the new patch, Rust++ will execute the default Rust method about doors.

We appreciate all of your hard work.

Do we still need to go through the process of uninstalling the mod/running the steam update/reinstalling the mod?
I'd assume yes, but you're just saying now when we do that the server will still work and whatever parts of the mod don't work will just not function
Sounds neato

I personally thank you for all your work and the only suggestion I have is that all the impatient people should click the donate button. Hope you're having at least a little fun this weekend.

Great news, love to hear that added security/safety addition.
So excited!
when will rust++ 1.5 update will come out??
when will rust++ 1.5 update will come out??
Seriously? Did you just click on this thread and then comment without even reading the last few comments?
To be honest, "we're still working on the update" was pretty insufficient PR. A vague timeline would be appreciated by your users. I realize everyone is working really hard on getting this update out but I cannot overstate how important communication is. Even if all you're able to tell us is soemthing like "it's probably going to be at least another six hours" it may help people manage their time.

Or you could stop acting like a spoiled child who just got told he can't go to Disneyland, and just accept the fact that these two guys do this for free in their spare time, and that you have exactly zero right to ask for anything.
Gee, wish I could actually update my HFB Server. Absolutely pathetic.
(Not upset with you Eqiufox, HFB Servers is frustrating the hell out of me).

Why? I'm using HFB and it works fine... Take the server down completely. Uninstall all the mods. Rust++, DropParty, AND Leather. Then do the Steam Update. Then reinstall all of them. Then start.

That's not even it at all. I'm actually considering switching to Oxide because I'm pretty sure it's up and running and in the time I've been waiting for Rust++ to update my server lost a lot of players.
I like Rust++ more but it didn't take long for people to up and leave because the lack of a mod like this.
I forgot asking for a time frame is considered "Being a spoiled child" as you put it. Not like we all don't have servers to tend to and players to make happy.
yeah the people on my server are complaining too aswell but fuck them they can leave if they are that spoiled

If Rust++ 1.4.2 isn't working for you, you need to have words with your host because it means that they haven't bothered to recook mainData. It's running just fine on literally 100's of other servers that are on the 24th Jan update.

You have mental problems. I think we as users can expect a bit more than "exactly zero". I am extremely grateful the Rust++ team has be able to provide me with tools to run a quality rust server, and I have made a donation to show that gratitude. I do not believe asking to be informed is behaving a like a petulant child, however, you seem to feel the need to behave like some sort of white knight when all of us, including the devs I'm sure, are experiencing frustration. You are not better than anyone, friend. All of us just want to resume running our servers and make our player bases, which some of us have worked extremely hard to build, happy. You have "exactly zero" reason to behave like such a twat.
Something like "We've had more issues than expected and will need another day." while not ideal will at least pacify my players. Your vitriol on the other hand is good for exactly piss and shit.

I guess you missed the comment earlier, then? http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1342369&p=43672435&viewfull=1#post43672435
And as I said in my last comment, 1.4.2 is working just fine on most servers, so if it's not working on yours you need to speak to your host and kick them into action. All they have to do is recook mainData, and you'll be good to go.
If you can't get them to do that, then the release of 1.5 isn't likely to help you either, as that will also almost certainly also need work from your host.

You're such a child lol. Using that dumb tag everytime someone disagrees with you.
Anyways since talking to you is like eating nails (painful and why would anyone willingly do it) I think I'll head out on this note.
See I can do it too.

i think HFB cooked more then just the maindata lol it says not installed for rust ++ in my mod manager but the announcements are still working in game haha as are the commands in game funny shit but i guess i will ask them whats up
Just tested on HFB server. While the 1.4.2 mod will install and run properly. Access code door sharing and /share no longer works.
I removed the mod and I'm just gonna wait it out for 1.5 release.

Why would you need door share when the freakin passcode is hardcoded into the game?
SMH.

I said... installing rust++ 1.4.2 breaks access code (aka passcode) door sharing.

Works for us...
Works for us...
Working for me too.
So for people who have been struggling to get their server working with 1.4.2 just a couple things that might help you out.
Stop your server, do a fresh install of 1.4.2 (Do not edit anything in the config file)
If you can run furnace do so now while the server is stopped.
Start your server.
I found that if i didn't run furnace no one could connect to the server until after i had run that. Also if i editted the Rust++ 1.4.2 config file in anyway i would encounter the same problem.
Whether there is a method to the madness or not i don't know that's just how i got my server back up and running yesterday.
I'm sure most of us don't have access to run furnace.
