Some of the new functions you've added have made me want to switch back to Rust++. Kudos to you guys. However, what is to keep the friendly fire function from being abused? How does that work out exactly? Like say you're about to be killed by someone and then you add them to your friends list, will they not be able to kill you? Or does it work vice versa? Or is there something that has to be accepted to add as a friend?
This friendly fire feature sounds like a terrible idea. Appreciate the effort in giving people options, but I will never set foot on a server that has that enabled. The balancing force on zergs is friendly fire, take that away, and most of a server is going to have a pretty terrible experience. It also takes a lot of the strategy and skill out of battles.

When you're raiding a house with a group of friends it can be dangerous when you're all cramped in the tiny rooms.

Best solution would be to have a server browser be able to filter these features in or out.
Here's how friendly fire works. If the server admin has it enabled, you simply add a friend to your friends list and you won't damage them. They can still damage you unless they add you to their friends list. This can't be abused. I wouldn't use the feature but I know many who would

That's how I was hoping it would work.

1.5 is now live on HFB!
Rust++ has been updated for all HFBServers clients. You will need to un-install and re-install it to update if you currently have it installed.

Any ideas?
Thank you for the prompt updating.
Anybody know the command for enabling the friendly fire protection from the server side? It is disabled by default I think.
I backed up my files, installed version 1.5. Uploaded my map files and it wiped my server. I uninstalled Rust++ and got everything back. Did I miss a step?
Friendly fire can be disabled in the config. Then you can /addfriend and you won't damage them! For admins, log in rcon, write /setmasteradmin then you can do /addadmin playername, this will allow a user to be given flags. You can then use /addflags user all, to give them every permission, or /addflags user flagname for specific flags. I'll go into more detail on this later

facepunch_connector_authfailure What am I doing wrong? Edit: NM. I figured it out. Very, very finicky the process in which you update.

Thanks for all your hard work on this. Everything is working pretty damn well at this point. So worth the wait.
i am uninstalling all mods, doing steam update, installing leather, drop party, then rust ++, i then edit the cfg files true/falses and then start the server. I go in game the server shows, but it wont let anyone in. and there is no error log being created.... damn.... server is starting but no mods are working....
FYI if you have FPSplayers Server, their stupid script makes you still load Leather to install 1.5
Hey folks, /instantko does not seem to work. Would love to be able to demolish some of my structures which are useless or fix buildings mean people have modified.
is anyone HFB getting this to work? if so what did you do? i have tried so many different ways of uninstall/install that i cannot figure out why it wont work
