HFB why? why? ;'(
Just thinking to change host.
We shifted to another host, after we couldn't get anything done via tickets, and so many unanswered questions by us to the support staff at HFB. I know they try, but I seriously don't think they have the staff that they truly need.

Id like to jump ship but after looking at feedback, it seems most rust++ hosts have some sort of issue. I cant wait for NFO or some other big host to pick rust up. At that point I will switch in a heartbeat.
Why HFB take so looooongg to fix that! ;/

Due to numerous reports of similar issues we believe this issue to be related the mod Rust++. I do not currently see this mod installed on your server but I do see the folders from it being installed previously. Are you still experiencing this issue after un-installing this mod?
Anyone else who cant get 1.5.1 working on HFB?
I had 1.5 working great. To update, I did a save, shutdown the server. Uninstalled ++, reinstalled. Redid config (added flag command) and restarted server. Now it's loading vanilla. I even tried full wipe, steam update, install ++ and still not working. Thoughts?
Mine has been working fine since yesterday, I uninstalled, Steam Update, Installed Rust++, Installed Leather (because I use Drop Party as well), Installed Drop Party, and everything works.
switching from 1.5 to 1.5.1 seemed to break it on HFB server. It loads in vanilla now with no mod. is HFB corrupting a dll or something?

Did you go from v1.4.3 straight to v1.5.1? Cuz i had originally updated to v1.5 and it worked flawlessly. Now upon updating to 1.5.1 (i know the steps), the mod does not work at all, server runs as if vanilla.

Disregard my previous comment, I thought we had, but we are still on 1.5 :(
I'm still having issues. I've got my server set up. I stopped it. Uninstalled all the mods I had on there (rust++ and Leather) then applied the steam update through the HFB control panel. Then I reinstalled rust++ and leather. I know we don't need leather, but I may want some other mods that do. Then I restarted my server and popped into the game and it's just normal rust. Am I missing a step or something?

The above 10 posts all document the fact that 1.5.1 does not work on HFB. Read before posting.

Wow thanks for that disKord. I also read a couple that said it was working for them. Sorry for asking for clarification.
is it possible to add Crafting Controller like the one in oxide, when u can actualy disable crafting item? I mean, even if u research one from research kit and I dont wanna ppl to craft it, I can disable it? Its the only addon I need to switch from oxide to this superb mod :(
link to mod for more info: http://forum.rustoxide.com/threads/crafting-controller.73/
Does anyone have an issue that no one can connect to the server with RUST++ installed and no leather?
If I uninstall everything then reinstall RUST++ w/o leather then no one can connect. It just disconnects people on attempt. But When I install leather, it will allow people to connect but the RUST++ mod does not have any of the new additions. Such as the admin mods, so its basically just like the old 1.42 which was previously on the server prior to the update.

sure is, but it wont be until the Magma release of RUST++, from there people can write a plugin to stop that from happening anyway.

Any new information on Magma?
will we see the new website tonight?
rust++ works in the host multiplaygameservers?
After all the issues with HFB and 1.5.1 ill have to stick with Oxide.. i hate it but it's the less stressful option right now. Waiting on Magma for sure. Good work guys. Keep it up.
I'm happily on 1.5 for hfb, didn't update to 1.51 though 8)
Also love the /kill command, we had an aimbotter, killed him and then banned him so the players who died to him could retrieve their things :D
I will investigate the HFB issue with 1.5.1 when I get back home. Sorry about that guys, but you got to understand we can't control GSP behaviour... and it's not by saying that you will switch to Oxide that we will be able to magically fix it instantly for you. It's your choice and I respect that, but yeah you understand... I hope haha.
Cya later
I really like rust++ over oxide. I'm perfectly happy waiting till issues are resolved :)
Anyone that has HFB can answer this. If I "wipe my server" but back up data, so i dont lose anything in-game, does it wipe anything else? I would like to start the server from fresh but keep everything in-game. Is that even possible?

If you're going to wipe your server, just delete the world.map files and userdata, but leave the cfg folder
Then when you launch the server again, it will launch with your current config and the terrain will be wiped/all the players will be wiped
You can also wipe individual people by going into the userdata folder, searching for their 64bitid, opening that folder and deleting the avatar.bin (make sure they're logged off) and when they log back in only that player will be wiped
If you want to wipe JUST the map and keep everyones items, then just delete the world.map files
If you want only YOU to keep your items and wipe everything (map/other players) then search for your 64bitid and download the avatar.bin - then delete the userdata folder and the world.map files and launch the server, sign into your server then signout, then go back to userdata and search for your 64bit id and then upload your avatar.bin to your 64bitid folder and then when you sign back in you'll have all your stuff
You don't need to touch the rustpp folder if you're just wiping everything

Backup myserverdata folder and rustPP folder and you're good.
If updating to 1.51 and backing up the 1.50 rustpp.cfg
Is the only line we need to manually add in
default_admin_flags=CanKick|CanAnnounce|CanBan
?
And can it be placed anywhere? Thanks in advance
edit: Also if the line is NOT added, when you use the command /addadmin does the player become promoted to an admin but have zero flags and all flags need to be manually assigned? Cause then I wouldn't need to add the line into the cfg at all

Id like to wipe everything besides the map and players items. If there is anything else to be wiped. Cause my problem is I think there is other files that I dont have access to on FTP. Cause I cannot get people to connect to the server when just Rust++ is installed. This happens with RUST 1.5 and the new one. It wont allow anyone to connect. Now, I can get people to connect when I install leather, but RUST++ seems to revert to the old settings, it acts like 1.4, IE: no admin controls, /god ect.. They just come up as unrecognized when i type them into chat. If anyone has any other theories please fill me in.
I just rented a server from HFB...installed Rust++ 1.5.1 got onto my server and am having problems setting up myself and a couple of friends as Admins...Can someone here tell me step by step how to do this? This is what I did so far but we can't spawn a damn thing.
/rcon.login (password)
/setmasteradmin
/addadmin (friend)
Everything up to this point worked fine but when we try to spawn an item...nada. I've read the damn front page with all the commands and still nothing. I know alot of ppl are saying 1.5.1 is broken. Any help would be appreciated
from what i have read, 1.5.1 not working too well on HFB.
