Over the next few days, Magma website & forums should be live, it wont have much on it to begin with. Magma is still in development (and we don't plan on an official release until RUST++ 1.5.1 is working 100% via a javascript) however i might put out dev releases, for anyone to get in early and start working on a mod, and to give us suggestions for the API etc.

Got a few ideas for a custom mods :), maybe even something that you guys may want to put on Rust ++ v2. Get in touch: Skype: vOneShot Steam: vOneShot Twitter: @vOneShot / @Craftboom Kind regards Dan
I got the same response.. Has it been fixed yet??
well... now i cant get it to work... even uninstalled drop party and leather... and did steam update and reinstalled all apps... rust++ not working... I blame HFB because I usually follow the same steps like 20 times before it finally works. [editline]27th January 2014[/editline] i even removed all - installed rust++ only made no cfg changes started server and nothing works
ty for the update! ppl start whining when rust++ is not running properly :D also really thanks for instako, it's awesome finally be able to solve some wrong placed pillars!
as other GSP's have it working correctly, I put the issue with HFB not the mod. [editline]27th January 2014[/editline] HFB Servers @HFBServers Rust++ 1.5.1 update has been corrected and any issues should be resolved. that is posted on HFB site 9 mins ago
HFB servers, I can confirm rust++ is working on my server as of 5 minutes ago....1.5.1
My Rust++ says its installed incorrectly I have Leather and everything (Server provider Nitrous Networks) Here is my output_log.txt. Here is the link to it via Dropbox https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/151834034/output_log.txt
anyone have the 1.5.0 Version I'm having trouble getting it to work on my server, something with bootstrap and I know the steps already.
You didn't uninstall the old one. From your log file I can see that 1.5.1 loads by itself then Leather attempts to load 1.4.2 (old one) = confusion = not working. So you should go into your mods folder and delete the old Rust++_mod file.
I also confirm that I got my 1.5.1 on HFB working properly now. SWEEET!
I think Nitrous might need to add to their mod manager, to delete the old rust++_mod file first, when installing the new rust++
BTW anyone have the problem where when you change the system_message_name=, it still shows the Rust++ one
I will investigate the HFB issue with 1.5.1 when I get back home. Sorry about that guys, but you got to understand we can't control GSP behaviour... and it's not by saying that you will switch to Oxide that we will be able to magically fix it instantly for you. It's your choice and I respect that, but yeah you understand... I hope haha. Cya later
I think a big part of the problem might be people not following instructions or the way they are communicating to their GSP. Not promoting HFB but every time I submit a ticket, including on Sunday night, it get's taken care of in 5 minutes. It's really obvious by the posts on this thread people just don't read or follow instructions.
and mine is up and running :) [editline]28th January 2014[/editline] only thing I notice is that MOTD is not working.
HELP! I shutdown my server using rustpp.shutdown and now it won't start again!! edit: unninstalling rust++, deleting its folder and reinstalling(or not too) didnt help at all! Btw I use HFB. NEED HELP!!
and mine is up and running :) [editline]28th January 2014[/editline] only thing I notice is that MOTD is not working.
I don't think you are running 1.5.1 then. Or you didn't use the new config file.
1.5.1 is running on my server at HFB now, great work.
Could someone please provide an example of what a properly configured whitelist.xml file looks like. Having some problems getting it to work. Thanks in advance if you can help!

Thanks Ent22, When I login I get the MOTD etc, but when typing /help (or any other command) I get the message "Rust++ did not install correctly". I'm with Nitrous Networks.
I believe the root cause of this issue is that Rust++ did not install correctly. I would try re-installing Rust++ through your server's control panel.
Yup, I've deleted everything in the rust_server_data/mods file and re-installed multiple times. Server boots but just get that message all the time. These are the steps Nitrous gives: 1. Stop your server 2. Go to mods and uninstall any mods if any are installed 3. Go to the file manager and navigate to rust_server_Data, then delete the file mainData 4. Then run the steam update 5. You will then need to go to mods and then install the mod you want to use again (if you're running Rust++ or Rust Essentials please read additional steps before starting your server) 6. That's it start your server and the mod should load fine. ADDITIONAL STEPS --------------------------------- a ) If you're running Rust++ before starting your server click on the button for "Furnace Patcher" and then once that's complete use the "Rust++ Patcher". You may then start your server. b) If you want to run Rust Essentials you will just need to run the "Furnace Patcher" before starting the server. Any suggestions at all?
