How to update Rust++ after the Rust server client has updated
1. Save your server
2. Backup 'myserverdata' and 'rustpp' folders
3. Stop the server - You can swap this with step #2, meaning you can stop it and then backup.
4. Uninstall Rust++
5. Delete 'myserverdata' and 'rustpp' from your file manager - You don't need to delete myserverdata but I prefer it
6. Run the steam update
7. Install rust++
8. Delete the rustpp folder that the mod automatically created
9. Upload 'myserverdata.rar' and 'rustpp.rar' OR 'myserverdata.zip' and 'rustpp.zip'
10. Extract both, then delete the .rars (or zips, whichever you compressed them to)
11. Launch your server
You've now successfully updated your rust server while maintaining your rust++ mod
All functions of the mod work - even if you're still using 1.51 - I don't even have 1.52 installed and all functions are working.
Preform this each time the rust server client updates and you'll be a happy camper. It's pretty simple
If the owner of the mod could just copy these steps into their main post it'd probably save a lot of time and worthless posts filling up pages of people complaining the mod doesn't work when it does, and it did before 1.52
What about additionnal mods like leather and dropparty?
Seems to be a right order to install them?
I uninstalled and re installed this mod several times and my players have infinite food and animals/players are invincible and pvp is on and everything my players dont even get rads. It was working fine before and all my settings are correct. It's also making my players lagg.
I see that since update , Rust Server use ( with only 1 player) 600MB or Memory against 350 MB before update.... Perhaps an issue ?

Yes, this is deffinetly an issue. My usage on my server has skyrocketed since the update and there is major issues going on. What have you guys done? My players are complaining now. =/ Also it seems everyone and everything is invincible and nobody can use anything.

Unless you have full FTP access you will not be able to use drop party/leather until your server provider updates it.
Basically whenever rust updates, follow those steps to get rust++ working only - drop party and leather will most likely have issues and you'll have to wait.
I don't use either mod so I ran into no issues
any idea why my entire game crashes randomly?
Dont know. have randomly lags and disconnect . server seems to restart and not to stop
REPORTING ISSU
/instako seems to not work with "Bed" ( have to broke foundation or ceiling to remove it)
How do you get the Chat Commands working normally again?
Can someone please explain to me why I can't seem to add an admin.
I've set myself as master admin.
I type /addadmin "playername"
And nothing happens. No prompt appears or anything.
Then I do /addflag "flag" "playername"
It says "playername" is not an administrator. What. the shit?
Blucifer, your rustpp.cfg is missing the defaultadmin line. Add that and it will fix it.

You should really try reading
Memory usage is caused by the Rust update itself, I can't do anything about it.
1.5.2 is working fine with our HFB test server and BMRF.
I don't know if the others GSP updated, so make sure the MOTD say 1.5.2, before complaining.
Infinite food, unkillable animals, etc can't be caused by Rust++ itself, our mod doesn't touch these events at all.
At our server (HFB) ALL WORKS PERFECT :) Thx Equi
There's a bug in destroying metal doors when they are open..
If you destroy the door when it's open it leaves a bottom part of the door that you cannot destroy and it's annoying ..

Yes please ! Someone could trip and hurt themselves...
My server runs normal but every 1h he does not answer someone else knows how to solve this?
Try disabling auto-saving. Also be aware that the Rust update itself isn't 100% stable.

One more Info, it worked prior to the small rust update on steam a few hours ago (~15mb) but it could have been on 1.5.1 then i am not sure.
Is there a console command to reload the config too? rustpp.reload use to work I believe.

Contrary to other smartasses, I read. I read quite well actually. I put that line in and it's still not working. Is there any other known reason why it's not working?
I saw on a server that a guy dropped a pack that played radio stations and music.. where does that mod come from??!
*New Server Admin Alert...*
I got my server up yesterday FPSPlayer and loaded Rustpp 1.5.2 some nice features and some items not working OR I am not sure if I am using the right place. So...
1. How do I know what Interface to use. example some commands work in F1, some in RCON and some in chat windows but nothing that I see tells me what works where. for example the /setmasteradmin that I am suppose to run at the start is not working from all 3 (F1, RCON, Chat)
I am the server owner and have full RCON access.
2. /GOD not working
3. How do I set MOTD - is that just the lines in the CFG file?
are there in-game chat commands to turn PVP on/off?
OH NOEEE HFB FORCE SERVER WIPES !!!! WTH :P
A few more work on Magma and we should be ready to release an alpha !
So currently I am having this issue on my server.
I login as admin on f1 and when I try to /tpto or /tphere it says I do not have permission to do so. However, I can use admin commands in f1 and it will work fine.
How can I fix this?
Kind Regards,
Rep K
