Hope this is patched tonight :C
Yesterday I tried rust + +, but the whitelist did not work. It was activated in the cfg and the only player who was on the whitelist was me, but all players could connect to server. Could anyone help me?
I have a problem after i installed this modd. When players die they freeze..and Respawn option doesnt appear. They have to disconnect and get back in to get rid of the freeze bug.
how long we have to wait for the patch?
I am a new server owner/admin and just installed Rust++ so far pretty good running 1.5.2 but some questions. 1. is there a detailed document/FAQ on the config file and settings with examples? :) 2. I want to setup airdrops every hour if there are at least XX players online at the time. How do I configure that? I see it is disabled in my current 1.5.2 3. how do I configure what you start with? some servers I am on I get a stone only, others I get a stone every time I log back on - strange ;) as an admin can I issue commands from the in-game chat window like bans and kicks? I have full access to the FPSPlayer RCON and I tried issuing /setmasteradmin but not sure it worked. is this a chat window, F1 or RCON command? thanks!
You would do /setmasteradmin NAME in chat. Along with other Rust++ commands.
You would do /setmasteradmin NAME in chat. Join and Leave Notice dont work... Motd dont work... I've deinstalled and reinstalled everything, it dont work. Just want to tell u that.
hey disKord, will a new server not setup with previous saves for admin/cfg be unable to do initial setup due to the rcon issues on a NN server?
You should be able to set up a new server and load your previous saves just fine.
What's the difference between RUST++ and Magma? What features does RUST++ have that Magma doesn't have? Or what features does Magma have that RUST++ doesn't have?
y same problems here. after last update (Cheatpunch update) Motd, Join leave messages and auto rcon login doenst work anymore. Share etc seem to work so far
after last update all works fine for me, even motd, join/leave msgs etc..
You would do /setmasteradmin NAME in chat. Along with other Rust++ commands.
thanks! do I have to do this everytime I log into my server or can I will it remember? thanks again
What's the difference between RUST++ and Magma? What features does RUST++ have that Magma doesn't have? Or what features does Magma have that RUST++ doesn't have?
Magma is an API that allows people to create mods using Java. It will also have the Rust++ features built into it.
BiZzyBoNe88
Doesn't matter, it's a free service he provides to us with his own time, own money, and doesn't get paid a penny for this. If he takes 3 months to put it out, then it takes 3 months.
Metsu
The mod hasn't been updated for the new Rust patch yet, so there will be errors and bugs here and there. IF you uninstall Rust++, run the Steam updater TWICE, then reinstall Rust++, then do the Rust++ updater, things should work find. I did these steps, and am having absolutely no issues with R++ and the new update.
Vidukas
The differences will be night and day. R++ is a very fixated mod. The only options you have are what the developer gives you when you in stall their mod. Magma will be more like Oxide, but supposedly with a more stable background to it. People will be able to write plugins for Magma (via JavaScript), and they are designing Magma to find bugs, and update mostly it's own self. There's an actual site for Magma right now, but there's very few plugins at the moment for it. I'd wait till the end of the week (as they've said if you read through previous posts) and they are trying hard to get Magma out for us. Which is why there's such a delay for R++ update.
Vecrox
It seems the automated stuff in the plugin is buggy for some people. I'm not having any issues with it, but am seeing many people having problems with it, which is most likely user error. If you read earlier in my post, you can see the steps I took in order to get it running without an issue.
DMN92
1: You're using an illegal server for Rust. EITHER RENT YOUR OWN LEGAL VERSION OF THE SERVER, OR STOP BITCHING THINGS DON'T WORK....... If you have the balls to go behind the developers wishes, and illegally download a server, THEN come into HIS forums and post you have problems, then you sir, need to have your pace patted with a hammer. Garry and his developers are putting a-lot of time into this game, and are giving us the opportunity to try the game before it even hits BETA phase w/an open ALPHA phase. People like you end up ruining this for everyone else when developers get tired of assholes like yourself stealing their shit when they are offering early access..........
R++ Crew
Out of the 3 major mods available for RUST, you have the least features, but combat that with having the most stable version of a mod. I commend you for that, and keep up the good work. I'm feeling like a damned kid standing in front of a closed candy store just before opening hours..... (or like Charlie Sheen waiting for his new delivery of coke to come in..... either way you want to look at it) Magma is going to be amazing, and I've been on the page daily watching for updates. **Cheers Mates**
People Logging on and off, and the MOTD are not working for me for Rust++, rest is. Also quick question, in order to get the cheatpunch fully working you just steam update, then install the mod under mod manager (FPSplayers is my host) and you are good to go? No in game commands needed to activate it right?

Can you disable crafting of certain items with R++?
The issue has been pointed to me. I will fix it right away when I get back home in a approx 3-4 hours. Also, I am calling out to all interested developpers for Magma, please send me a PM explaining your mod ideas, so I can see if it's possible to make it with the current Magma functionnalities. (If not, I'll add it :D) Thanks for your understanding !

(motd/notices etc etc etc) I'm just trying to figure out if the issue is with the host or the mod/game server

I do not believe my issue is related to Rust++ and it's problems. My issues are far beyond those Rust++ could pose. I am still eager for an update though ;) Thanks for letting me know who your host is.

Can anyone offer up a guide on editing configs etc.? I just picked up a server and I'd like to make some considerable edits. Loot drop rates, limit research etc. Is there anyone who is pretty knowledgeable and willing to help me out over Skype or something?
Open the "RustPP.cfg" in "save/RustPP" and use "false" and "true" to edit the values. Pretty much self explaining.
