Is anyone using cheatpuch on there rust++ server?
Is this version stable? Cause ive had previous versions of rust++ and my server crashed every few hours. Since removing it ive had no issues. Ive done multiple resets/restarts on the server and it hadn't fixed the issues. I dont particularly want to install the new version if the server is just going to crash all over again...

Apart from the other day where the latest RUST update broke Rust++ .. I have had no probems with it. And I did not have any crashes or wipes. when it broke, the awesome devs were on it pretty quick and fixed it and released an update to rectify the prob. It is now stable but it does seem to vary from server host to server host and that is problems with the hosts and not Rust++ itself.
Don't do the steam update twice. Don't do the steam update with the mod installed at all. Do it in this order, do not deviate.
for nitrous-networks do this (worked for me)
Stop Server
Uninstall any and all mods
Steam Update server
re-install rust++
+ run the rust++ patcher
re-configure new .cfg file for rust++
re-install cheatpunch, if you use it
restart server

I have a questions about /instako
If I use this does it erase everything around me? I hit a shelter and all of the sudden spike walls around me started to explode. I quickly disabled /instako and everything seemed to have stopped exploding.
I just need to know if this is a feature or what. I dont want to see everything on the server explode. I just need to take down user mistakes and unused Structures.
I had the same problem must be a bug
Eureka I have done it!!!!
So if u have read the previous post my server was crashing within 5 minute of starting joining. So as i was having a beer or 2 or 3 i thought to myself and the fact that Streamline-Servers were sending me notifications about the server name that I had configured in Rust++ cfg I thought i would just take it slow... So i started by installing Rust++ started the server and WOW everything worked run around did shit then logged in as admin and set master admin all good. Ok so then made small changes to the cfg in Rust++ relogged and still all good... Last but not least went into the main server cfg and changed the name of the server baring in mind the notifications the the GSP had sent and well you guessed it the server is running fine with everything working.
K4OS thanks for pointing out the spelling mistakes as this also led me to fixing my kit as it was incorrectly listed, for eg
items=3 !!!! this should have been 10
item1_name=Stone Hatchet
item1_amount=1
item2_name=Sleeping Bag
item2_amount=1
item3_name=Bandage
item3_amount=3
item4_name=Cooked Chicken Breast
item4_amount=5
item5_name=Coth Helmet
item5_amount=1
item6_name=Coth boots !!!!!! fixed typo cap B
item6_amount=1
item7_name=Coth Pants
item7_amount=1
item8_name=Coth Vest
item8_amount=1
item9_name=Hunting Bow
item9_amount=1
item10_name=Arrows !!!!! this should have been Arrow
item10_amount=20
All is well now and as long as an update doesnt happen tomorrow morning i will be starting advertising the server to our steam Group and ppl on my friends list.
Thanks for all your help and to the devs keep up the good work and hope to c MAGMA over the next few weeks... I will keep an eye her and will offer my help to those who may need it.
Rusting away to nothing
You must have installed the update wrong. You need to stop server, uninstall all mods, steam update server, then re-install mod and reconfigure NEW .cfg file. HFB is up for me working fine.
edit*
Once mod was installed properly I had no need to reset myself as master admin nor had any of the problems you listed above.
[editline]18th February 2014[/editline]
HFB never went down...the issues are on your end. I can try and help if you need.
HFB did go down for your info. But back running fine with rust++ 1.5.4 for now
What exactly do these two lines do?
autosave_enabled=true
autosave_interval=600000
I noticed the timer for notice is 1200000
I am on HFB and they have updated R++. I have just installed it onto my server and it is functioning, so far, without errors.
Is there another option to Destroy Items than /instako? Because just turning it on causes my Large Spike Walls and Gateways to blow up. I have not allowed it to keep going and see what else starts to blowup if anything.
This is very upsetting.
So I take it that cheatpunch works if u use rust++
and this is a commandline (-cheatpunch) for server starts on Streamline servers.
I will give this a go thanks

Can anyone tell me y the server crashes with in 5 minute
Fixed The Kits
On my second host and all I have to say is I have good things to say of FPSplayers. They really try to inform clients of whats going on. Like everyone else, we're anxious to start developing our own js for Magma. I heard HFBservers will get Magma first, but I think FPSplayers deserves to be one of the first.
^This
FPS are really pretty fast on updating mods, plus they also have VoID support. Cant beat that!
We aren't supporting a GSP more than another, infact we are really grateful because they chose to offer our mod to their clients, BUT HFB & BMRF gave us more by offering us free development servers. So we will release it to them for the first days, it will also help catch errors (if any) before the big release.

that does not make much sense. /instako requires that you hit something.
The devs of Rust++ are working in the compatibility with Rusty?
Will be very good to see the chat again Y_Y.

I agree but I tryed it once and lost over 30 large spike in 20 seconds not trying it again.
If anyone could help me that would be magnificent. I have been trying to patch my files from my Managed folder from my computer into the unzipped Rustpp managed folder that I downloaded, problem is, I do not have a managed folder in my Local Steam Rust files, it was there a few days ago, but now it is not. More info for anyone that may have a possible fix, I had to re-install rust a few days back, but only after that did I never find a managed folder in my local game files

I myself would like this fixed, can we get an acknowledgment, ETA? Will this be fixed in Magma? Give us something please! :)
My server restarted today, all my admins had lost their rights. It's a bug ?
My server restarted today, all my admins had lost their rights. It's a bug ?
You need to enable auto-saving or use /saveall command before restarting it.
As for Rusty, I don't know how it read the console and the maker didnt contact us.
Stupid question about magma:
In the "real" release, Rust ++ will be integrated by default into magma but using js plug-ins, right?

Hows Magma looking? I'm on BMRF and am excited to get it fired up and going. :-) I hear Garry may be doing another big patch the end of this week though, which will only set Magma back some more. :-(

Thanks !!! And how to enable auto-saving ?
thanks :)
Stupid question about magma:

Alright let's clarify this point. In the 'Real' Magma version Rust++ will be ran by the API as a Javascript plugin. So people will be able to run Rust++.js, edit it, etc. We will also split Rust++ into different plugins to offer the possibilty to only runs the mods you want.
SO : You will be able to use the entire Rust++.js to run the mod like before, or use the small sub-plugins by choosing the functions you want etc.
BUT : This is planned for the 'Real' release, in its current state Magma is really powerfull, stable and cool :) (My little baby :D:D:D:D), but we didn't have the time to complete the transition from the old Rust++ to Javascript. So we had a problem, because we wanted to release an alpha soon, so people could test and give us feedback, but that would mean no Rust++ for these people (Magma wont run with the old Rust++).
Result -> We decided to migrate Rust++ into the actual Magma build (C# code) and make it run on it this way, of course you are free to disable it and only run Magma with your own plugins, but it is the workaround for now. It wont affect the stability don't worry. I am making the old Rust++ code fit the new Magma structure which was rewritted entirely and trust me it is way better like this !
