I'm surprised (not in a bad way). The Forest has extreme potential, but so does Rust. The Forest won't really directly compete with Rust due to the type of game it is at least (more survival versus AI than against other players)
The Forest is looking into breaking into the multi-player scene
My farthest day was11 on the forest :) The building leaves much to be desired but I like simple things. But, the cannibals sometime stop spawning in... Which is sad because I wanted to keep going. One you play a little and learn some tricks its fun. And also very easy...
This sounds like my game. I just happily went about building temporary shelters every day that it got near evening. After an initial battle on the beach all the cannibals were dead so I was free to wander about.

Once I realized a Molotov can do crazy damage, it was game over for them.
This actually sounds good though, death needs to have meaning in more games.
Not really since once you are set up it's mostly about going around exploring. Because there isn't a lot to do it makes it kind of boring really quick. The kickstarter videos had traps you could set up and polevaulting and building up your tribe so you could eventually ride a t-rex.. But i have a feeling it's going to be another rust fiasco where nothing happens for a really long time, I wouldn't recommend the game as it is right now. I only got it because of the kickstarter and didn't realize early access would be so barebones.
