• Hows your rust experience so far?

Hectic. The concept is great and it looks all good so far. It's just a shame about the lag and such, but that will surely resolve.
until now? hell. it has been HELL. don't get me wrong, i like the concept, the ideas, but all the people hatcheting and griefing each other, with the immense lag(waiting several minutes for menus to pop up and weapons to switch is beyond any human patience) ruined anything good of the possible experience. i just wish i found out about this before all the reddit people invaded the servers.

In my opinion the insane player count is actually a good thing, glitches and design flaws are getting discovered at a much faster rate. Besides, the player count is probably gonna drop by quite a bit over the next few days or weeks again.
Love the game, but with my patience I can't do with the lag. Hopefully Garry, Helk and Pat get it sorted soon.

I couldn't even do anything yet because of the massive lag
Update on the players: There has also been weird shitheads and dumbasses going on the forums. Ok we get it, there are many players. We can all see the page that says how many there are. Please stop posting pictures, they are only slowing down the page.
was good until the redditors started showing up.
Well for the people who managed to get past the black screen, its been "Server is experiencing too many players currently" all night long. :suicide:
I'll give an actual answer about the game.. Really cool. I love the concept and adding crafting and building has potential for some amazing servers in the future. I hope they expand on everything they've added so far. My personal "wishlist" would be for the artstyle.. So far every survival game (except Minecraft) has gone with this "photoreal" style and it ends up (in my opinion) looking very generic and bland. I'd love too see them mix it up a bit and while I'm not saying go as crazy as TF2 test different art styles and see how people like them. Also more "cartoony" textures can be lower rez so less performance issues.
Good for about an hour then it all went to shit. Always getting killed by people who think this is death match. Finally got a good spawn and was able to gather supplies to build a small shelter only to have someone jump through it and kill me with one axe hit despite me hitting them three times with my axe. It'll be great once bugs are ironed out and more servers become available. Until then it's pretty cancerous. Also I totally looted someone's huge stash through a wall thinking the house was abandoned. Turns out they were right there. Sorry for stealing under your nose. If it makes you feel any better I got killed right after (surprise!)
Aside from all the dumb deaths and me not knowing if someone is even attacking me from all the lag.... horrible. I can't wait for this game to get farther into development. It's awesome, it really is.... but all the dumbasses KOSing people is really pissing me off.
Now that all the autistic reddit fags are gone, I've have a pretty fun experience. For an hour before hackers came and ruined it.
I was having fun until last night. Had built myself a nice little house with two floors. I was in the middle of building a conservatory out back so that I had a nice view of the radiated wasteland at the bottom of my hill when I had to go to work. I came back home last night at midnight and everything was gone. Everything. Walls, windows, floors, the roof, EVERYTHING! And in its place was some towering asinine structure obviously constructed by some muppet trying to compensate for something. Luckily I logged off in my house as I logged back in in his "house". Destroyed all the doors, beds and boxes in a childish act of revenge.

However, i do feel like this game has a lot of potential. It's hard to say in which direction it will go at this point, though.
I built myself a little shack but got killed while gathering supplies. Hope I'll find it before the new server whipe.
I can now get about my daily life without somebody swinging a hatchet in my face, I got a building setup and now feel "safe". All is good.

Raiding is kind of getting boring, but as my job as the liberator of items it must be done. For the sake of the items.
Right now it doesn't seem like there's much incentive teaming up since power in numbers won't usually matter much when someone sprints at you full speed swinging hatchets, I've tried it and you'll just attract a whole lot of unwanted attention.
