What vehicles do you think should be added in rust?
On the contrary, I think they fit perfectly. It would give things a bit of a Mad Max element I think.
Perhaps, in order to build vehicles of any kind, you first need to construct a Garage. Once you have a Garage, you need Metal Fragments to build chassis, Rubber and Metal Fragments to build tires (perhaps you add tires to a vehicle after it's constructed, and can attach spares, and while driving there's a small chance at any given point of a tire going flat), and Gasoline to keep it fueled (the bigger the car, the more fuel it uses - want a giant armored tank? Better have a huge stockpile of gas for that thing)
Additionally, going along with that armored car idea... some cars could be driven back to the Garage and updated with more metal fragments. Adding armor plating, rams, etc. Cars of course can be destroyed, either with tons of bullet fire, or with well-placed explosive charges.
That is insanely out there though. You start butt naked with a rock for gods sake. It goes way too far. No human in the wild would just be able to build a car in the wild. Let alone a garage and all that. Plus newcomers wouldnt stand a chance.

Building a perfectly functioning M4 from scratch while buck-naked is not far-fetched?

M4s are small, man. Cars are just so... overwhelming, dude.

They have stated several times they will make it much harder to get guns, so that comment is irrelevant. Cars don't fit the game at all no matter how you put them in.
Well, another idea is to scatter random vehicles around the map, perhaps spawn them when nobody is around. Then maybe you can upgrade whatever vehicles you find, assuming you can even get it home safely. So they wouldn't be craftable, you'd have to scavenge them instead?
How about a transformer?

thats makes more sense
Going with that idea, you could also be able to take tires off of random vehicles (or find them by themselves, if you're lucky). Tires themselves take damage, so someone might be able to shoot the tires off of your car and you better have a spare with you. If you have enough metal to upgrade your car, you might be able to attach metal panels to shield the tires from bullet fire.
None.
Only two types of cars:
Some type of truck which fits 10
A car which fits 4
You can oufcourse use your metal frags to make it protected and w/e. A car should not be mae directly craftable. You have to craft the piece. wheels with leather and metal frags with the rest and oufcourse you should include a garage in your house now ;D

Also make stacking infinite and give the ability to attack while on each other.

give us wheelbarrow to haul materials faster.
give us wheelbarrow to haul materials faster.
That would make you vulnerable as fuck, speaking there are people willing to hatchet you as soon as they see you at your weakest.
Well the wheelbarrow would make you run slightly faster then...
Do|You|Dig|?
I tink dey sould put in a mini-van so when we go shop at store we all have enuff room to play on deh way
Picture hard to make in comparison to Eve online's TITAN class ship. A ship so big it has to be backed by entire alliances of people. Something that is stupid hard to craft. I can just picture walking along a road and seeing hundreds of abandoned cars.
I believe they did some testing with cars before. Not sure how that went though since it was from before I got the game, but yeah.

They already have a couple of cars from the unity, but anyone besides pat trying to drive the car will just have a buggy time.
In very early days of rust, I tried the car. It handled like shit for me.
I remember starting a thread on the forums about the car, but I can't find it.
I want a train that goes vroom vroom everytime i run over another play :v: :v:
Seriously though: If there is a way to craft railroads and a train engine/train cart, that would seriously change the game.
Imagine big teams and clans using it to transport materials and troops to the front lines.
+1
i agree 100% on the train idea.. in minecraft servers that were properly setup (tho it was never really perfect, lol), trains added a level of detail and speed that made the game that much better.. not to mention the idea of roller coasters... imagine a train coaster built high up and someone detonates a explosive device under it... nasty! great idea aw3s0m3

whoa whoa this aint disgaea man, lol. it would be funny; but what happens when the bottom guy dies? lol.
Once the map is expanded I think cars would fit in with Rust just fine. The reason it doesn't fit now is due to the size of the map.
Trains wouldn't work, someone would just blow the tracks up before you got to your destination. Assuming eventually placing down tracks or any crafted object (walls, doors, etc) would take time, similar to how we craft.
It's a survival.
Should stay basic.
Vehicle will change the whole concept of the game.
the train idea would be cool...it could start out like the cargo planes and someone can hijack it for supplies...and if i had a choice of cars hmmm maybe a hummer or somethin to store stuff in
I think it would be awesome to add bit of creativity to building cars too.
For example use ACF like engines (that take materials to build) also have wheels and suspensions being possible to be built as whole entities and they all interconnect to each other much like smartsnap in gmod. connect the peices together and you can build w/e really.
as far as the body of the car, im thinking you can make metal bar structures than just use wood or metal panels which also can be contructed to reinforce your vehicles and such.
I do agree that adding cars may change the goal of the game though, but than again, the ingame economy may evolve to that at one point.
How about bikes? It's more simplier than cars and it would make more sense that you can make a badly designed bike rather than a really expensive car that you wouldn't be able to make out of metal only. Cars could be added as old, undrivable crap that we could gather metal from, and bikes could be made to have a basket that holds one or two inventory slots.
