Hi ,
i talk for a french linux comunity who want to test and write some mod/code with/for Rust. We are not 250 :) but we are fans :) Our machine is not too bad so if you want a little linux community who want to talk about Rust ... please give us the powa ... sorry ... just a key ... please :)
See you and thanks for the work you do :)
Specs: Of the native machine
model name : AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 965 Processor
MemTotal : 12470512 kB (12gb)
HardMem : ~3T (1 disk for the System/1 disk 2T for the data)
Speed connexion : ~ 30Mbps up and down.
Not sure if I can compete with most of what is said here spec wise (Phenom 905/8GB ram/40mbitD/25mbitU), but I bought rust for my buddies and myself with the full intention of helping out the alpha. I've spent the last 20 minutes trying to figure out how to set up a small dedicated for our use/abuse when I found out I couldn't(!). I would very much love to be able to run one just as I have for every other game that me and my community plays.
I am asking for a key to be able to make a dedicated server today, yet I really hope you guys reconsider your stance on your game experience, or at least provide a category/tab/interface in your server browser with a disclaimer about gameplay issues that would occur due to running on modified servers instead of doing away with the private/modified servers all-together. In my (totally ignorable) opinion what made me throw money at my screen was the fact that garrysmod is _not_ a totally locked down platform and I always look forward to things can change or new content that comes careening down the hill from nowhere that yields ever more more fun out of it.
That being said I look forward to helping the development of the game, and I look forward to being able to host a server.:v:

Hi there !
Some customers ask me to provide Rust servers... And it appears to be locked only to verified GSP, so here I am !
I'm the owner of Dox-Serv, a French GSP. I would like to get some beta key to have my own servers, for developping and testing purposes (there's a lot of demands here apparently...)
Here are our servers spec :
Debian 7 Server (Physical hosting only)
Intel Xeon W3520 @ 2 x 4 x 2.67GHz
32 GB RAM
2 TB HDD
1 GBit LAN
Up/Down Speed up to 200Mbps
Thanks a lot for your answer !
Hi Garry. i live in Russia, Siberia. I cann't play with lags beacause in all servers i have ping about 150. Ihave dedicated server. I have the opportunity to keep the server. can you give me a key please. :)
Uplinks: 1 Gbps
Intel(R) Xeon(R) XEON E3 3.2 GHZ
RAM: 30GB
SSD 128
Location: Russia,Siberia
http://netpoint-dc.com/ Data Center
Thank you!
Well, I'm not sure whether this will be noticed, but I'll stick to the rules and just try it!
I'm running a small community (cemn.org) with some Garry's Mod servers and would like to add one, two or maybe three Rust-Servers.
We're developing our own gmod-gamemode and are planning on individualizing the server as far as necessary to improve players gaming-experience.
There should be a Rust Vanilla and a Rust Modded server available in our community.
The chosen servers specifications are as follows:
Ubuntu Server 12.04 LTS
CPU Opteron 3280 Octacore
RAM 16GB
Enough Disk space and 100Mbit/s
For sure I am willing to share logs and other server-related information with the dev team - The game is great alreay, but there's much more to improve and every hoster should help out with this!
I got some game-feature-requests, too, but these will go to another thread ;)

Is there any information available on when the server software may be made available to communities with dedicated servers? I understand some of the reasoning behind restricting it to hosting companies for the time being but for communities which already run their own servers Rust is currently in an odd state where you are either forced to rent a server separately and thereby increase your overhead or simply do without.
Currently my community is doing without but we have a number of members who would be interested in seeing us with our own server for the game.
Hi Garry. i live in Russia, Siberia, Tomsk. Here cold *-*

PS: Sorry for my bad Englisch :)

Supplement:
Of course I would nobody else give the password. :)
And the reason for hosting a own server is, that we would anyway swich to our dedicated server when the files are public and we would have to reset the whole server if the hosters don't support backups.
[editline]17th January 2014[/editline]
Supplement 2:
When will the serverfiles be public, if we don't get access to them? :(
