Hey i've been playing rust to the point of not sleeping for days at a strech I love this game, Also My family has experience running Servers and the like and I am Interested in finding out more about Corporate Server hosting IE Starting a Server Company for Players to purchase rust Serverss. I updated my server: US East Coast II: Dev Branch but when I opt in to betas: Dev Branch it doesn't let me connect to it. But yes; US East Coast II: Dev Branch was run through the Steam Update minutes ago.

I've run my server through the Steam Update and I am unable to connect while in Dev Branch beta opt in mode in my Steam settings. If I switch back to no opt ins for betas then I can connect to my server just fine. I think the update isn't reaching our servers.

Helk we can only update our clients but we do not know how to opt into the beta on the actual servers.

Nevermind I found it and it doesnt work. My friend is having the same problem I don't think the server is updated.
Running my server through the Steam Update every few minutes and it's still not working.
I am unable to use the client dev version to connect to my updated server (this morning), I was able to uncheck the dev version to play though. I was however able to connect to "Haven | PVP/Sleepers | English" with the client dev version, so I'm not sure what they did differently.

A read a while back that not being able to destroy ceilings was a bug that would be fixed. Yesturday I tried multiple chages to get through a ceiling but could not... will we be able to destroy ceilings? I am starting to see a lot of griefing currently, players chopping down stairs and putting up cielings in your house after they raid it.
If anyone knows how to switch your server from normal to dev, can they drop me a message on how too? It'd be much appreciated.
EDIT: I would like to contribute and find any bugs out with the new patch.

your host needs to have a separate update button in the control panel.

Server owners can't do anything with that since we don't have beta passwords. I am guessing this is only something that can be performed by the hosting companies themselves, so they need to set up a custom update command or something.
Is there a protocol available for querying the server (e.g. for player counts)?

Only hoster can have beta key / rust server file ? we can't run a rust server on our own dedicated server ? there is no possibility for us except rent a rust server on a hoster companies?
