So I am confused, because there might be a wipe at some point it makes it okay to break the game?
the point of an alpha "test" break it fix it rinse and repeat
the point of an alpha "test" break it fix it rinse and repeat
I completely misunderstood the concept of an alpha if this is the case.
your supposed to find dupes, glitches and other odd things to make it not happen in the future
You know parrot rolls in a gang helk was a part of?
your supposed to find dupes, glitches and other odd things to make it not happen in the future
That sounds more like an alpha. I never participated in any alpha in which we were supposed to break the game. I think you might have misunderstood something there.
You know parrot rolls in a gang helk was a part of?
Doesn't mean anything, if I was breaking the rules I'd be banned regardless, but I'm not breaking any rules.

Due to the fact that I see no rules for Rust, beside the warning from the auction "If you're caught cheating your account will more than likely be banned - and you won't be offered a refund. So whatever you do - don't try to cheat." Technically duping in a form of cheating which according to who ever wrote the quote I posted would result in a likely ban. Now cheating just to cheat I would agree is worth a ban, but exploiting the game with things like duping is probably a better thing to do that to just play the game alone. You not only help the developers create a patch to fix the issue, but you also shouldn't be going around and making videos and abusing it, that is defiantly ban worthy. If your finding bugs you should report them to admins, don't go around showing them to everyone defeating the purpose of the game, and ruining the game for people that prefer to play legitimately. I would say who ever is making Youtube videos etc. trying to distribute bugs is in the wrong, UNLESS the developers are missing or ignoring the issue and it needs to be resolved and you really need to get your point across. At this state you shouldn't need to though.
Thats funny cause insane is friends with the devs LOL he was trolling you obviously saying what people say when they dupe

Just because the developers play with someone from time to time, doesn't mean they are close buds. Anyway, the video is so that the developers know exactly how to do it - the video was not made to show everyone in Rust how to duplicate. Also there is the possibility of people accidentally duping because of this bug - just because many people are abusing it doesn't mean it's always intentional. Also, apparently they did miss the bug like you said. Someone has stated that this bug has existed since the beginning of Rust, and that he had reported it before:
Jesus I knew about this method before reddit even knew about this game. I reported it like a year ago.
