I don't see what that has to do with anything. Alpha testers typically get compensated for their time. Nobody participating in this is being paid. On the other hand if you purchased your alpha access you are still part of something that is clearly in a test state. Garry promised you nothing when you purchased the alpha.
If it had been down for let's day last 24 hours I'd totally understand you. A small "we're having some issues" would've been nice at that point.
However, the server has been offline for how long, 2 hours? They just wiped the server and fixed the duping plus all the servers are down. It's either a total server failure or they're working on something. You don't have to be a developer to get that "update" you want.

In house alpha testers get paid to find bugs. We are not in house. A lot of people think this is a free ride to play the game and don't care about reporting bugs.
But yes you are right, Dosh420 needs to re-read the statement for the game when you purchase it. If you did not purchase a key I am assuming that it still applies.
