I am actually switching my position on this. Last night, after playing, I closed my eyes and I sall the headbobbing negative moving. I did a lot of running that particular session. This is the exact same thing that happens when I go on a fishing trip on the ocean. I don't get motion sickness but after seeing that I know it must really bother some people.
I agree with TS. Head bobbing must die... Otherwise die my head
I actually never saw this.
When i've read this thread i looked at it and it's annoying now.
But i'll get over it :)
I like the head bobbing:)
Hopefully this thread can bring some attention to it
Still, no response from anyone ive contacted.
Yea this needs fixing. I'm sure it is on their "fix" list but who knows how high.

I dont mind the headbobbing myself, but I can imagine how horrible playing the game must feel to some..
I do think that there is another thing, that hasnt been covered regarding the headbob - I find at least, that when sprinting, the headbobbing makes its a lot harder for me to distinguish things far away, especially in dawn/dusk - I like this, as it means you cant sprint around and have a perfect vision of things around you.. In real life, you cant sprint like the devil is after you, while enjoying the subtle details around you either.. Maybe instead of making headbobbing an on/off thing, you can choose between headbobbing OR things getting a bit blurry as they race past you/in the distance, or just changing it to a slight headbob with a slight blur?
To me at least, its a lot like the whole grass-dilemma.. If you play with grass on, its "the real way to play" but you have a disadvantage compared to the guy turning it off, who can spot you kneeling..
If you play with headbobbing on, you are put at a disadvantage compared to the guy with it off, as he has a much better focus/aim while sprinting.. (aim is actually affected by the headbobbing, as you can draw an arrow and ready the shot while sprinting)
Just my thoughts :)
In normal games jumping sight, but not before the eyes of all the shakes.

Have no idea how this problem did not make it into the next patch list...
maybe we'll give Harry a modified file assembly-CSharp.dll (headbob=0), and he will check it manually to the possibility of a ban from VAC or cheatpunch?
[editline]21st February 2014[/editline]
2nd way, register new account, bye RUST again, change assembly-CSharp.dll and play RUST without headbobing... and wait: ban or not

This will trigger a VAC ban.
i wouldnt mind the head bobbing if it wasnt so awful
it kind of looks like youre hunched over and you throw your upper body back every time you put your left foot down
please fix the head bob
I have been watching Extra Credits - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CvimYs7tnRM
I would suggest that this topic of motion sickness has more to do with Head Bobbing being optional setting.

I suppose but he says in the video you should turn off "Screen bob" to ease motion sickness.

It just seems (As ive asked about on servers) that it just gives people who have motion sickness a hard time to play the game. Nobody wants to play the game with a headache
I struggle with motion sickness and it does make this game pretty hard for me to play but i persevere because i really like the game as you can see by how many motion sick hours i have spent on it lol

Shouldn't really need to, every first person game ALWAYS has an option to turn it off
Who knows anymore, lets just hope that they realize that this is hurting their game.
This will trigger a VAC ban.
Not a fact. When I click to "check the integrity of the cache" in Steam, checking does not give error messages. A new file does not loaded. So the system does not see the changes.
Having an option to filter headbobing would help my group of friends, as 2/3s of them cant play for 2 hours without feeling motion sick.
Great to see this topic bumped back up again! This is a serious issue, for health reasons. I have yet to see a comment from a dev or moderator on this or the other 2 or 3 motion sickness topics. I tweeted Garry and posted on his Reddit .... still not even a "we will look into it" and it has been over 30 days....
my head dont hurt after 8 hours ingame :) just get used to it

I know right? Absolutely no recognition of the problem has been made. Pisses me off
When i first started I would get a headache quickly from the head bob. I actually walked most places because the head bob was so bad.
I kinda got use to it now, but I still wish they would tone it down or remove it. Its terrible.
Whatever, they can direct their attention to shitposts how they please, doesn't make me want to share the game with my friends though...
Guys look s like facepunch saw our problems they added it to the trello card!
