Never said i didnt like it, but know there are several people who dont like it.
But then again nobody like to be killed 5 times in a row when out farming Wood only to lose all over and over again.

Several people out of the hundreds that play? Sure, let's just ruin the game for the 99%.

I'm sorry for those people, but the game is actually about that. Surviving, being constantly in danger and, of course, getting killed until you're good enough. Welcome to the non click-to-win gaming.
I would personally like to see a handwatch, so that we can know when the night is coming.
As in reply to you being rude to the previous guy who replied to this, it clearly says handwatch right there, no it's not a bed, and yes it would be useless

Gotta disagree. One of the biggest points of the game is the wild, desperate aspect of it. Nothing and no-one (short of a friendly person) is going to save you from your fellow hatchet-wielding man, except you. If roughly a few thousand people got tossed out into the same wild area with no warning, no nearby civilization, and nothing but a hatchet, medical supplies and a flare, you could bet cold hard cash that at least one of them (if not more) would start beating people's heads in with the hatchet for their supplies. One of the most important rules of both life and Rust is that there's always going to be nasty people willing to do nasty things to you if it means they survive and/or profit as a result. All you can do to deal with these people is fight them or run away very fast. And if you have like-minded friends with you, these kinds of people (who prey on loners most of the time) will likely leave you be in favor of not dying to a painful group beating/shooting.
Also, if you happen to be just starting out, learning to avoid strangers via hatchet-induced death is quite effective. It also teaches you that the few people who will not kill you on sight and will actually have your back in a fight are worth more than any resources in the world.
I think it would be awesome for sniper rifles to be in the game
[editline]27th June 2013[/editline]
I would like something like an average hunting rifle like you would
Go hunting with in real life like a bolt action
30-06 or a lever action 30-30 or even a 308 bolt action rifle or
Even just a compound bow not a cross bow though

How would a small pvp free area/Zone (5-10%) of whole map ruin the game for 99% of the players?
You just stupid that comment that

If you're going to argue a point with someone, calling them stupid for having a differing opinion is a very bad strategy, especially when your grammar is apparently lacking. I chalked it up to not being a native English speaker to start, which is perfectly normal and there's nothing wrong with that. However, the fact that you're resorting to insulting others with differing opinions makes it seem more like you are the "stupid" one, as a result of comparative intelligence. By all means, you may be a highly-intelligent person in other instances, but your insults coupled with your lack of proper grammar give others the impression that you are not.
I mean you no personal insult in saying all of this, I'm just pointing out something interesting in the hopes of helping spread knowledge.

See it like this if 10% of all players dislikecthe pvp and they get a corner at ens o map edge on around 5-10% of map total area.
How can this ruin the game for 90-99% of the rest of the players??
Pretty easy thos that like pvp just keep away from this area, even make people that have just made pvp kill be unable to go and hide in this area for up to 30 min efter making pvp actions.
I van argue for this in a good way even if i wouldnt use the area My self but i think it should be there for thos who want.
there should be a flashlight that you can turn on and off and that runs out of batteries, so you would need to find more batteries to use it.
No just no this just ruins the survival aspect of the game adding a non pvp zone is useless and why? to make a base which cannot be raided or protected is pointless the whole point of the game is to SURVIVE once again adding a non pvp zone would be a terrible idea....
there should be very small non pvp zones around where you spawn, like if you take two steps you are out of the safe zone. this way no one can get killed right away, but they cannot survive in the non pvp zones
[editline]27th June 2013[/editline]
Well then they need pvp free zone since other wise they force all to play pvp ^^
Fun that i post a list with 21 suggestions an people only Whine about the pvp thing, and most only complain. If you dont like it come with constructive critics or make suggestion of your own.
maybe there could be one server non pvp and one that is. that would be in the far off future though.

I don't mean to be rude, but although I disagree with your idea, my main issue is with your conduct in attempting to debate it, not the idea itself.
My reply stated the logical fallacy of insulting someone with a specific term ("stupid"), and, in the very same sentence, acting in a way that would earn you the misfortune of being called that insult. In doing so, you made yourself seem unintelligent while at the same time calling others capable of conversing and debating politely, unlike yourself, unintelligent. The sheer strangeness of that logic boggles my mind, honestly, but this being the internet I really should have expected it. I hope you eventually realize the fallacy in your actions and strive to correct it.
[SUB][SUB]Also, on an unrelated note, I apparently get all professor-y/Spock-ish and shit after taking my buspirone.[/SUB][/SUB]
i want in this game a purchase page so i can buy this game
Probably won't happen for a long time since the game is in closed alpha at the moment, horribly buggy and incomplete, and is restricted to a select group of people recruited during a short period of time that was ended prematurely due to leaks on reddit and similar sites. It's in such a premature state that it could barely if at all pay people to play it, much less be sold.
In other words, that's probably not happening for a very long time. And don't go asking for alpha/beta/etc. keys either to play right now, that's a fast track to getting permabanned.

ok
The simple reason pvp-free zones wouldn't work is that they'd get spawn camped. The moment you crossed from non-pvp to ffa, you'd cop an axe to the face.

Except people that are leaving the spawn camp only have basic gear. Who would camp outside of it to kill nubs with a med pack, hatchet, and flare?

Many, many, many annoying people. People love to troll. Just look at games like WarZ where that happens all the time (safezone camping).

You understand that people would just camp outside the zone right? And would we allow farming in the PvP free zone? cause if so people can just stay in as long as they want and farm until they have everything without any risk. Obviously having a dedicated non hostile area would limit building otherwise everyone would build there and it would be cluttered because why build out in a dangerous area if you can be safe?
Do you see why it's either all or nothing? The game isn't meant to be as friendly as minecraft.

Easy to control pvp-free zone should not have high value loot/rare loot, and not contain any nonplayer buildings.
So they can not farm to the top safe.
Possible to add more zombies/mutants or hostile animals to that area.
So still get some survival feelings just not the constant house looting and killing.
The area should be in a corner on the edge of the map so it dont affect the pvpers to much, camping outside is a risk they have to take if they want better loot.
An alternative solution to address the same problem may be to have it so that you get 3 "free" kills: the first 3 times you're killed (wether it be by another player or an npc), it treats it as being knocked out instead, a random 50% of your non-starter gear is up for grabs by the killer, and he is otherwise oblivious to the fact that you're knocked out rather than dead. You then revive 2(?) minutes later in place, with some notification that you can't take another round of that!
This solution allows you to ease into the game a bit more, doesn't encourage dicks, because to everyone but you, you appear to be dead, and doesn't allow exploits because you've only got 3, and you lose half your gear rather than duplicating it.

I agree with you on this because the game is orientated around survival of the fittest and the safe zones would ruin the do or die atmosphere which rust brings to us.

Then people would camp the knocked down guy and kill him again.
maby add a big/bigger city later on in middle of island far from the sea, make big and many buildings
* very good and rare loot and much loot
* low-high radioactivity through out the city
* very high ammount of zombies/mutants
* the further into the city then better loot but also higher density of zombies/mutants
* hard place to farm need groups of 3-6 in outer town and closer to center of town prolly 7-15 people or very high geared/ hardcore players.
Then people would camp the knocked down guy and kill him again.
I pointed out that to the outside player, you appear dead like normal, so if you want to stick around 2 minutes gambling on him being a nub, that's your business. The other option is to take away the spawn in place idea, but keep the 50% of your items for the first 3 kills thing.

Sounds like a game that isn't focused on player created content, and would lead to only the nerdiest of nerdy nerds getting all the coolest shit.

The current pasted together map is ok, but a prettier one shaded like a parkland guide would look better.

maybe a edited version would do just fine as a newer and more detailed map would take time and the game needs to focus on core essentials before they start doing extra detailing...
