New version available : Hi all ! First of all I want to excuse me for the issues in the last version. In this version : Fixed : - Commands were not executed or their executions were very long. - Anti bad language is now working on experimental servers. - Steam id converter's link is now working. New features : - You can now auto kick players using family share accounts (very often used by cheaters). Just tick the apropriated box in settings tab. - It is now possible to search text in the logs tab. The search supports wildcards (ie : *something*). - Highlighting system now allows you to play a sound when a keyword is detected in a log line. You can place any .wav file you want in the sounds directory to make them playable by RustAdmin. Only wav format is supported. - RustAdmin now embedds its own intercom system. You can now chat with any other admin connected to the same server than you and using RustAdmin. This feature is in beta for now. Please if you have an issue tell me. Have fun ! Hi everybody New rustadmin version released : After this long time without any update the new build is finally available. New features : - Statistics tab (not available for legacy). Rustadmins now collects informations about players actions (such as kills deaths and their reasons) and display them into the statistics tab. The statistics can also be displayed on website or anywhere you want because rustadmin can answer to http requests to send the informations (more documentation is available in rustadmin) Special thanks to http://www.Rustralasia.net for their support which helped me to develop this module. - Powered users tab. Rustadmin allows you to create moderators on your server. You can give some abilities such as kick/ban/unban to define players. (more documentation is available in rustadmin) - Scheduled commands can now be edited instead of delete/recreate them - Anticheat whitelist available. You can give some steamIDs that the anticheats won't kick/ban - The autorefresh can be disabled. Rustadmins often send "status" commands to the server to update players data. If this command is sent very frequently it may cause some lags. You can disable the autorefresh in players tab (box next to the refresh button). Warning ! On legacy servers rustadmin becomes almost useless if you disable the autorefresh. A major part of all features won't work while the autorefresh is disabled. On new rust versions only a few features will be disabled such as anti high ping. Fixes : - Two items names were incorrect and are fixed. - Stability improved I hope you will enjoy it DOWNLOAD LINK
Hi there, I'm trying to implement a command line to be used with RustAdmin software. The idea is to have some kind of status. I know some would say it breaks the immersion, but makes the game funnier IMNHO. Something like: "X" Killed by "Y" using "Z". How to get such info in the CHAT? Is there any way to implement this using RustAdmin? And, btw, your app is far superior than Rusty.

If you are on legacy it's not possible to make the system you are talking about. If you are on experimental, it's possible.

And I do not want my server listed in "Moded Servers" section. To have it implemented without having the server labeled "moded" would be great. Another idea would be show a short list like this: -- Biggest killers in the last 4 hours: "Mr X" (3 kills), "Mr Y" (2 kills) and "Mr Z" (1 kill) I guess it could be placed as options: a) Biggest killers list a.2) How many minutes to repeat the list in chat b) Who kills who c) Biggest in other areas c.1) Who dies more c.2) Who destroys more sleepbags c...etc) I hope to see this soon in your nice app. Since you have already the statistics, it would really add some fun to the servers. Uh, is it me or Dropbox download link fucked?
Please do not place your app at 0x0. Some people use top taskbars.
You can place it anywhere you want. Just move the window and it will be restored at the same at next startup
You can place it anywhere you want. Just move the window and it will be restored at the same at next startup
But I can't move the window, because the titlebar is underneath my startbar, thus my complaint. The only way to free it is attempt window size adjust, or use the windows key + arrows to reposition it.
Cant connect. The rcon port is not used anywhere, server port and query port are tricky and nothing seems to work when i have placed all the correct info, just server timeout message
Hi all. Below the content of the new rustadmin release : New Features : - Finally added an icon to the exe file (not a pretty one but at least there is one :) ) - New translation system. I decided to abandon the old translation system that I was using to make a new one more convenient to use. Now, any people who wants to translate rustadmin in his own language has just to follow these steps : - copy the file labels.txt (in langs folder) and rename the copy into "lang_XX" (replace XX by de, ru, or anything else) - Every line of this file is a label to translate. Just add ||your translation at the end of each line to associate each label a translation. Exemple : * Original line : Kick the player * Translated line : Kick the player||your translation Have a look to the file lang_fr in the langs folder for a full example. All files added in the langs folder and named "lang_XX" (don't add an extension) will be used as translation file and will be available in the translation menu of rustadmin. The file must be encoded in Utf-8 (without BOM). This way, Non latin languages are supported (Russian or Chinese for example). If you want me to release your translation, just send me your file lang_XX. - Added automatic update module. Under the about tab just click "Start automatic update" when a new version is available and the application will update itself. You can choose whether you restore your configuration files or not after update. - Under the statistics tab you can now unable kills reporting. Each time that a someone is killed, a sentence will be sent in the game chat. You can customize this sentence (default is "victim was killed by killer"). - Added autoconnect option under settings tab. When enable, rustadmin will automatically connect to this server at startup. Don't enable this option on severals configurations at the same time. - When a player is kicked off by anti high he knows why he got kicked (kick reason now filled) - When a player is kicked off by anti bad language he knows why he got kicked (kick reason now filled) - You can now edit the keywords instead of delete and recreate them. Fixes : - Statistics system is now fully fonctionnal (thanks Garry) and much more accurate than before. New statistics added and some removed because they are not sent by the server anymore. - Intercom tab is no longer available due to server update. - The application is now more stable and reactive than before. - Minor UI changes to decrease the minimum window size. The minimum size is now 700x660 px. - SQL injections are no longer possible DOWNLOAD LINK
Just tried this app and had a connection timeout, went through all the info to double check and all was correct, but still timeout, then I noticed there was only listed a query port and not rcon port, this is wrong as the listed query port in RustAdmin is actually the rcon port.

If you don't have a specific rcon port on your server just fill the server port field. By default the rcon port is the server port + 1.

Anyway Rustadmin needs the rcon port in the query port field.
I've noticed that players were vanishing from my "disconnected players" list after restarting pc, only done once so I can't tell if single incident or can happen again.
notify need to be disabled when yourself are saying admin and also to not notify because of name, if anyone have admin in their name it notify every time that player is saying something.
when searching log for the entered term, it should scroll along, otherwise you have to figure out where it have found the text you entered even though it's marked red it can still be quite hard to find it in a longer log.
Thanks for your work. This tool is really great und you are right... It's really better than rusty ;)
Thanks for your work. This tool is really great und you are right... It's really better than rusty ;)
Thanks. Concerning "Rusty like but better" it was just a joke. I wanted to remove it from the thread title but I can't.
Thx for UTF8 Support but wen you send text to chat its in wrong encoding...
Hi everybody ! Today is a great day because thanks to Garry and the recent server update I've been able to add the UTF8 support in RustAdmin. Finally ! :) I've also added a new column in the players array to show the country of each player. With cute country flag pictures :p. The country is detected thanks to the player IP, not based on the country that the player has set in his Steam profile (the IP lies less than the player) I'm also proud to announce the creation of www.rustadmin.com and especially webclient.rustadmin.com. This webclient will allow you to connect to your RustAdmin running instance from anywhere just with a web browser. you will have to route the configured port through your LAN. Thank you for the new version Server name now readable Players name now readable Chat now readable but..... [RCON][*.*.*.*:*] say "￐゚￑タ￐ᄒ￐ᄇ￐ᄉ￑タ￐ᄎ￐ᄚ UTF8" what you send from console is not readable
Ah indeed I've maybe failed this EDIT : hum finally I don't think so. I send utf8 encoded string to the server. Maybe the server doesn't process it properly. I'll ask Garry. EDIT 2 : Someone has tested and the sentence is properly displayed into the game chat. Are you sure your server is up to date ?
