I like all the guns in the game currently, and would like to see more, with more mods for them. If we had near as many weapons and customization choices as CoD, awesome....but for those that want a more primitive feel to this game, perhaps giving the servers an option for Modern or Primitive Weapons Only would allow them to find a way to play the game their way. If this doesn't give both sides to this debate some satisfaction, then there just isn't any way to please them. If they are getting raped by guys with crossbows just as easily as they were with M4s, then perhaps that will be the catalyst to teach them that this isn't CoD, that there is more to surviving than firepower and trigger fingers. The point of CoD is to kill other players as much as possible. The point of Rust is to survive, This can be done by shooting first and asking questions later, by teaming up with a group large enough to be able to watch eachothers backs, or by going solo and avoiding people altogether. The key to each of these strategies is not to let your guard down. Ever.
As far as new players getting confused for naked bandits, putting in a server option for New Player Immunity, where they can't be killed by or kill other players for a period of time, would allow them to get some of their bearings and maybe a little start on figuring out how harsh this world is and how to avoid becoming lunch.
Raiding does seem to need adjusting, but putting limits on it should be a server side choice. A cool mechanic would be to have air sirens blaring when a raid time started. Or the options for Full time raiding, logged in raiding, or no raiding. More diversity in how we can defend our bases is also needed. Claymores, land mines, mounted weapons, Bars to block access through windows but still function as windows....There is so much that would make this a great game that I'm sure all of these have been suggested, but the point is don't limit what we can have, achieve, or do because then you'll just limit how many of us are interested. Make all these choices server side.

So today I come home from school and login with nothing but a rock. My new so called friends have just wiped my existence out of this universe.
As dumb as I am and I don't learn, progression in this game eventually is destroyed by satchel charges. I server hop once more and make a house get stuff. This time I even managed to get kevlar and an m4. What happens? I look outside and see a fucking staircase leading up to my window. I block it off with metal doors, but who cares? Satchel fuckin charges. " THANKS FOR THE SHIT HOMEBOY " are the last words I get to hear before I'm left again naked with a fucking rock.

dont join servers with allot of people in it and build in a remote area dont play stupidly where you build by the road unless you have allot of weapons, play smart not stupid

I am not sure if you know,but its a Game.You know?You write this if someone comes to your house and steal your PC.As many ppl tells you,play on an noob friendly server or on Servern with only a few ppl.
Yes,its not nice if you spend a lot of time on it to build a house and next day all is gone.But it is a survivalgame.This could happen if you played with a lot of ppl.
So if you go on an No Sleeper Server,you can save the important things on your inventory.
If you dont like the stile of the Game,play DayZ or else or you better play Singleplayer Games

Heres what I have learned about this game so far,
1 play with friends on the same server.
2 build a house with a pain in the rear way of getting to your good loot.
3 build a safe house some where you think no one will look for it
4 login enough to maintain said above.
5 never ever store all your good loots in your main house.
6 never have so many possessions that your game is ruined because someone raided you!
Research kit and paper. You never lose what you learn.

You're right, this happens alot. But as the Mod did say, it's the community like you and me who are doing this to the game, not the devs.
And people who complain about being griefed are normally the cunts who do it, but when it happens to them they get upset. WELCOME TO A SURVIVAL MMO. Add full modding capabilities to the game and the devs will not have to lift a finger.
Dude this is part of the game. Survival of the fittest. You shouldn't be trying to play this game alone without any friends in the first place. It makes it almost impossible! Find a group of friends in-game to be a team with, that won't betray you. If you're really young with an annoying voice/behavior then I cannot help you.
Don't build like all of the noobs in/near the resource valleys. Go to the middle of nowhere and build there. You're more likely to survive.

all i can say is multiple doors in the house make the first and second floors a maze of metal doors so they have to blow through 10 or more doors to get to your stuff. even if their wood doors they will be hacking away for a while to get through also donot place windows in houses most people will stack barricades of build up to it as an easy way in to your stuff. You can also make some decoy houses so they waste satchels on those and don't blow into your real home. and finally hide your home in the woods or a mountain or somewhere don't build close to gathering zones unless you want to be raided if the house is easy to find it just becomes a target.
also you may want to try a no sleeper server then you can always just grab your good stuff and log out with it then come back and play later since body disappears when you log.
