It's all in the title, this doesn't apply for every single item craftable, and is mainly aimed at defensive construction, some of the things take 3m 20s for 1, i don't get it, metal with wires on it or a barricade is 3m 20s and a AK is around 2m, honestly, i'm not going to continuously rant on because i'm sure many people agree on this, some items are so time consuming it's a joke, the game reminds me of Payday 2 by doing nothing but waiting to get into vaults and doors.
Payday is understandable, because of the base of the game, but the aim of rust is no where near the same, but too survive, not wait days for items to craft, therefore i do not see why i have to wait 3 20s for a metal barricade, just another 5 hours and i might have my own base protected! Just no.
Look, i respect that things need craftable time but honestly some of the set seconds are a joke, they need to be downed even a little, i genuinely like the time aspect, but i simply hate delaying my crafting Que because of barricades taking 3m per craft.
Just got a tweet about that issue.

Rust is in alpha so stuff like this is likely to change that said I don't see it as a massive deal myself, craft at night like most people do. And most of the more used crafted items have very reasonable craft times imo.
All is good, just GP... OMG GP... Nerf the GP crafting time for real.. Was crafting it 6h yesterday. When i came back it still wasn't done...
This is just a good example of how time consuming it generally is, it's annoying.

But that is what i mean, it's in alpha, but i think facepunch should acknowledge user content a bit more often, stop pushing out more content and fix all possible flaws.

That's seems to be everyone's number 1 answer its "alpha". This is the second version of a so called "alpha" Rust aka Rust Legacy. Which has been around for what 3 or 4 years now come on. Really who's wants to sit around making a stone hatchet or pick axe for 3 mins then right when it gets finished your rocked or gunned down.
I know they just made changes to the time but its been like that for a while they need to stop adding quarry's and clothing and fix some of the glitches and optimize the damn game.
Here's what needs to be done every month first week new stuff the rest of the month fix and optimize.

That's because it is alpha..... They do not have to give one single turd about balance or players wants and needs. The game is in a testing phrase which you signed up for. It don't matter if it's been alpha for 5 years 10 years it's still alpha. The craft times are likely to change I'd say but as they are I really don't see them as a massive issue.
Why should they follow your monthly plan? You running tings at facepunch now? They can add as much unbalanced crap as they please and guess what. It's alpha so they do not have to provide you with a balanced well optimised game to play. Your a tester end of story.
And I quite enjoy sitting around crafting, knowing that I may be at risk till it's finished. It's adds to the game. You could always play on an instacraft server? Or even better stop getting rekt after you craft your hatchet.

That plan is retardedly inefficient. It will always be better to add new content as much as possible before consolidating behind a collective optimization patch. That way there's less wasted effort if the next thing they add screws up the optimization again.
