Just buy a better computer :-P Yeah I know that's a bit of a troll comment but if you're running older specs, you have to expect it to not run fantastic. I'd gladly trade more net speed for performance... maybe you can hook me up with your isp? ;)
HD 7970 is an old graphic card? Is just a problem with how the game is optimized. Believe me my rig is not an old one.

How you will explain that I cant play this game on max looking and north, when im facing WOODEN WALL? Its taking me full GPU power to RENDER WOODEN WALL?
Well if you already know the answer to the problem then it isn't really a 'problem' at all is it? [editline]1st November 2013[/editline] Whoa xan... chill on the hostility. Maybe you're the one thats dumb for not being able to work out whats wrong if you can run everything else just fine. I mean. It's pretty obvious then isn't it?

Yup, it worked just fine some hours ago for me... Now the image is also flipped, we must find a command that we can input in the console and fix this, if there's one. It's not the view-port that's changed, else it would have been easier, its not the whole image upside-down, just the hands/weapon. edit: use actor.cam in the mean time to play 3rd person, draw a cross on screen too while u're at it :v:
"HDR and MultisampleAntiAliasing in Forward Rendering Path is not supported. This camera will render without HDR buffers. Disable AntiAliasing in the Quality settings if you want to use HDR." Is that of use or no?
These commands do not work for me, the only command that works is -force-opengl nothing else works at all. And I have no clue why. I have copied and pasted into my console, into launch options. They do not work.
Make sure you are not adding space when copying it.
No spaces, it's perfect. It doesn't work for me.
Was browsing the unity support forums, this is a problem that guys were facing(devs) some years ago, but it has since been fixed. Yes, it had something to do with lighting techniques, HDR, some things didn't get along well. I guess it's happening because of the old shader models, we know it doesn't happen when you don't mess around with it. I'm curious how come first time i used this I didn't have the problem, no upside down hands...
can anyone find a way to enable Vsync in the game? tried Nvidia control panel "vsync on" to no avail.
When the steam version came out i played on windowed cuz i like doing stuff while crafting and i had around 9-11 frames so iv tryed full screen y day and from 9-11 fps it went up to 20-25 fps during day and around 25-35 fps night time on low setting and grass off , -force-d3d9 actually made things worse and -force-opengl crashes my game so no point using them , -force-feature-level-9-1-2-3 does the same thing as everybody else exept i dont see the rocks at all but the fps was up to 60-75 i hope to see something done about this commands ... my specs AMD Phenom 9500 Quad-core 2.20 GHz ATI 4650 1 GB 4 GB RAM

To access this, go to steam, right click on rust, go to properties, then set launch options. Here paste one of the force commands. The one that worked well for me was, -force-feature-level-9-3. Not sure this is what you're asking, but i hope this helps. I learned this information from, http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1320553 Have a good one! EDIT: As shown in this thread, change the AA to 2X. This will flip your character and fix some of the graphic glitches.
If anyone is having issues where their game crashes at start up then turn on windowed mode.
Oh God, how do I fix the sky glitch?
Put the AA on 2x 4x or 8x won't flip my char unfortunately. i get a really good fps boost though.
No spaces, it's perfect. It doesn't work for me.
Well it does not work for me either, the issue i think is we are both using windows XP. No?
Seem good! gonna try it soon Thanks
Awesome tnx for thread buddy, Been havn some issues with fps since last patch Hopefully this will clear it right up.
i think i might have found a good way to run the codes without the game crashing...open up file explorer and paste this up top C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\rust rhen right click on the rust app and run as admin it should work fine ihope...can anyone else confirm this?
I get lag no matter where i look
I get lag no matter where i look
Good for you. Get out.

So close!
I tried it, I got 5 fps with -force-feature-level-9-3/-force-feature-level-9-2 and I get around 25-30 fps with -force-feature-level-9-1 I guess :P but it is really glitchy tought :/ But its better than nothing! Thanks to the one that made this thread, you deserve a cookie dude
You are supposed to launch the game from steam, not from the .exe in the game folder. That's the reason you don't see the servers, it's not able to sync with master server and not even authentificate you. I already tried to join a server by using the net.connect "ip:port". Does anyone know how to flip the character back?
I am using the -force-feature-level-9-2, with good frames per second. ~40. I am using an AMD A6-3420 with Radeon HD graphics and 6 GB ram. The problem is that the objects don't show up. I'm not sure if this is common or what. But I am constnatly running into invisible things. In this example, there's a rock right infront of me but doesn't show. Any ideas on how to make these visible? http://imgur.com/0T1AY50 Thank you.
